Everyone - Purchase a Call Blocker. Good and cheap ones on Amazon. Don't get the Sentry. It talks real slowwwwwwww. Which makes it a pain when a caller you want is calling. It also will not disconnect after you pick up the phone, so you have to talk over the slow voice until it finishes. I am trying out two new ones right now. I can update the post when I know which one works best. It is between the "Block Now" call blocker by CPR and the "HQ TELECOM". I purchased the landline unit but they do sell an app for cell phones also. This is the best investment I have EVER made. I was getting so many calls a day, it would fill up my answering ma****e. I have no idea how I got on their "**** list" because I do not owe anyone any money or have any outstanding debt, but I must have turned down one of their sell pitches for a product, and angered one of these ******s. I turn all the ringers off at night and I have never been woken up a***n by one of these silent ****s. All they want is to harass you. They did it for months before I checked a blog and found out they were doing it to others. So many others. They have been bothering people in this same manner since 2002. Once you get on their "list", they WILL NEVER go away. As soon as I get up, I turn my ringer back on, and check my phone to see if anyone called me. Now when the phone rings, I look at the number. If I do not recognize it, I just block that number. It is easy to check numbers on the internet if you want to find out which company is calling, so you can see if you want to block it. Most of these numbers are pre-sold through brokers. They have thousands of numbers, and call from every state. I have kept a log book (each page s****s with a different area code. One page for the two's and so forth.) After a while they will get bored with you not answering. That does not mean they will not try bothering you a***n in six months, but with the call blocker, only the numbers I want can call right through without getting the call blocker ma****e message. Because the only satisfaction they get is when you answer the phone. DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE. I have told all my friends and family to just leave a message. I will call them right back if I am home and was unable to check the number in time. Also when you come home, you can go through the list of numbers that called while you were at work and add them to your block list. (It is easy to unblock someone if you accidently added them to the bad list.) The guys harassing you only get their jolly's if you pick up the phone. Don't give them the satisfaction. There is no reward for them if you do not pick up. Then they cannot joke with their buddies about bothering you. Now I laugh every time they call.

NRA. National Rifle Association. Same experience as others. They call almost daily and never leave a message. I've told them repeatedly not to call but yet they continue. Very annoying!

Read other responses and all seems just like their posts. I get calls, messages are just people talking in background but no message left, or just hang ups! Very annoying:(. Will block number!

NRA ASSOCATION TELEMARKETTER

I am a card carrying member of what someone called the "stupid" National Rifle Association. In my opinion, this is not a call from the actual NRA. Otherwise, an intelligent person would have been on the other end and we wouldn't be getting these annoying calls everyday.

NRA. They usually do not call unsolicited. Once you become a member they follow up OFTEN. You just need to tell them not to call you.

so what good is the national no call list? spammers continue to call on a daily basis, sometimes 3/4 times daily - different numbers but same set daily. cell phones were supposed to be unavailable to telemarketers-so much for that. GREED at its finest! !!!!!!! spammers LEAVE US ALONE, YOU WASTE OUR TIME AND PHONE MINUTES

Called but I do not answer numbers I am not familiar with. They hung up without a message. Looked the number up on the internet and it says Arlington, VA. Don't know anyone from there so wont be answering anyway.

I would like to know Mr. eds, suggestions... like everyone else I'm tired of all these calls, and on Sunday is redickulass !!!! and why I got this app as an effort to do something about it. I'm on the national do not call list, and apparently that list is a joke... reckon ill spend money on an atty and get this problem handeled that way.

Seems a robocall and when I answer, people are talking in the background and then disconnect.

Caller left a sarcastic message on my answering machine.

It is a recorded message and they call EVERY DAY. If it rings three times, it is an automatic hang up. I WANT THESE PEOPLE TO TAKE MY OFF THEIR LIST. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY I AM ON THEIR CALL LIST. I am on the no call list but I can't get rid of these dopes. Any help out there!!!

I have been getting unsolicited pone calls from the NRA for over 3 weeks now, no one on the other end. Very annoying. I called the number back and followed the prompts to remove my number. It did not work. So here's what I did! I called the executive offices. That number is: 703-267-1050. I explained to the gentleman that I was tired of getting these harassing phone calls and would like them to stop. He transferred me to another number. I gave the same speech to the lady that answered the phone. She transferred me to Ricky. I gave the same speech to him and he took my number and assured me that I would be removed from their list. So, Later that day, I called again. And the next day, I called twice. And the day after that. After four days, the executive that answered the phone asked me to please stop calling him with the same problem over and over and over. My response? Hmmm, you don't like harassing phone calls either? Now you know how I feel after 3 weeks of this. I haven't received another call!

Constantly annoyed by these Triangle, VA calls. I don't answer, so why bother. And on Sundays? Come on!!!

I get at least 2 calls a day from this number. When I answer I get a click and then nothing. I actually answered it once on the first ring and I think I caught the caller off-guard. I told him to take my number off his call list and he said he would do that. Got another call from them the same day and again 2 the next day. Haven't been able to catch them again. I actually returned the call and got a message saying they were sorry they couldn't reach me and would call me back. UGH! I am also on the Do Not Call registry. This is annoying.

This number calls my house at least once a day. When you answer there is no one there and the call disconnects after about 3 seconds. Obviously the caller doesn't look at the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.

I get 1 or 2 calls from this organization EVERY day. I answered the first couple times and no one was on the other end. I stopped answering it and it goes to the voicemail but no message left. Very annoying. My number is registered with Do Not Call and I am not, nor ever have been, a member of the NRA. I thought the NRA was a reputable organization but after this, I would never support them in any way.

I have a reference number from the FTC on file, did lodge a complaint against the celler from yesterday ( NRA)Don't know if I can post the REF#.

WOW! I got this call yesterday afternoon at 5:@4pm. Looks like I'll have to add this tel number to a long list of numbers I already have presently. I don't know if I can post this, but here goes. I have been dealing with these kind of tel calls for the past few years, if people want some legal ideas, e-mail me. One idea is real cheap and simple. If I cannot post this , I'm sorry.

I receive a call Every day from this number, including weekends. Enough is enough. After this I no longer support the NRA.

When I answered, (to tell whoever, to take a flying leap, since we don't know anyone in VA), noone was there. They just hung up.

Caller id said Triangle VA but also comes through as NRA using the number 703-656-9940. Repeately have reported this number!!!!
