I am receiving these same calls at work every so often and received one today on my cell phone while I was at work.  The number that they left on my v/m is 401-424-4179 and the man's name is Anthony Warden from the Central Investigation and Litigation Headquarters.  He also had an "Indian' accent,  He threatened to have authority's come to my job or residence and have me arested.  The last time I received, one of these cals,September 13,2010 a man name Brian Woods who also had an "Indian" accent asked to speak with my supervisor and I would **** up and they keep calling back.  I threatened to contact the AG in Delaware and did not receive any more calls until today. Can someone suggest who to call and how to go about filing a complaint?

They did the same to me today, what else should I do?

There is another number, it is 401-702-2167, i called the 704-233-7251 number and got the same Indian accent. Asked for an address and got put on hold. Someone else was put on the phone who asked for my name, as well as other information such as a case number. Noisy background. Caller ID identified the state as Windgate, NC., yet when i call the other number and speak with the SAME person, that caller id shows up as a Rhode Island call??? After asking them questions they do not find my name until i give them the Reference id number that they gave me upon first calling me, but only after getting put on hold about 5 times. I dont Know if it will help but the fax number they want stuff sent to is 714-786-4410. I am only 20 years old and was terrified of losing my job, and credit so i gave them information and they asked for a faxed copy of payment authorization. I was supposed to fax it to them tomorrow but i decided to do some research on the company first, good thing too. Also, if they call you on the 704-233-7251 number and you call them back on the 407-702-2167 number and ask for the same person you previously spoke with, they freak out and s**** wanting to know how you got the other number.After all this waiting on hold during a 10 minute call i find out that it is a***nst company policy to give out the address, apparently because they don't know if they are in NC or RI, and maybe even more states.

I received 9 calls from this same number today.  The lady sounds foreign and is telling me that I owe on a payday loan from this year 2010, but couldn't provide a month or date.  She indicated that litigation is s****ing a***nst me.  I told her that I knew that this was a scam and that I've reported this to homeland security.  She continues to call, and I continue to reject her calls.

I have received several call from this number and had a feeling that it was a scam. I called Homeland Security and reported the phone number. They already know about the scam going on. He said not to give any money to these people. They are all empty threats. They get this information when you apply for a payday loan online and the payday loan companies do not keep your information secured. Do not give them money, they are all empty threats.

Thanks for the information Anon.  I called Homeland Security today as I, too, have been receiving countless phone calls from this number with threatening foreign language.

Same story as above!! Hardy from CIL?!?! its all bogus they will stop calling if you ignore them eventually! They will s**** right back up after a while though and c****e the name of their company though! I tried calling the FBI and there was nothing they could do apparently. Its a shame that there really is nothing you can do unless they actually scam you to give them money. I wsh someone had an answer for actually making them stop for good! super annoying since they are bugging my place of employment and my family now!

I'm an attorney for the company.  My people kept getting a call from a "David Scott from Central Investigations at phone number 704-233-7251.  Said it was about one of our employees.  Need to speak with someone urgently.  I called, Indian woman answered, sounded like a noisy phone bank, I sked for David, she put me on hold with some horrible music, David's "supervisor", "Ryan Kapana" took the call, said David was working.  I told him I was an attorney for the company he said he sees my number on caller ID and that he'd call if he neeeded me.  Very strange.  Minor regret is that I ******ly gave him my name.

Someone named Hardy keeps calling my husband claiming we never paid off a payday loan.  He even had our old bank account number and email address.  Threatening if we don't pay the money they have a warrant for us!  He refused to give my husband the name of the supposed pay day loan place.  My husband is calling the police.

i got a call today from 704-233-7251 from a woman name gloria green saying that i am being sued for a non payment of a $300.00 payday advance made online. and then i told them that i finled for bankruptcy in jan 2010 and then they transferred me to a supervisor and her name was Jennier Mills and she advised me that if i pay 50% of the balance today, then they wont be suing me anymore. then she said that this wasnt included in my bankruptcy, and i told her i would call her back with the file number from the chapter 7 that i filed and instead she called me back and wouldnt take down the file number. i then stated that i would have my attorney file a complaint with the bankruptcy court and they said to go ahead and do so. i then asked for the name of the company along with the address and stuff and all she told me was the name of the bogus company which is " central investigation & litigation."

I share your frustration.  Someone form this number called my sister saying my husband's social had been comprimised.  Then when I called back they would not tell me the nature of the call and ***g up on me.  They never give any real names.  But the scary thing is they had my husband's social security number.  I finally had my husband call and they said they were calling about a cash advance loan that he never paid for, so I immediately asked for an American supervisor and they ***g up on me a***n.

Yep... this all sounds familiar. Some Indian idiot keeps calling with the same info you have all reported. The only thing I can say is to block the number. They don't know who I am, but continue to ask. Pretty frustrating that they will continue to call.

I have been getting tons of harassing phone calls from this "CIL"  On Tuesday a foreign sounding man - Kevin White -  called my office and wanted me to resolve this debt or litigation would s****. I ***g up.  We received at least 20 calls in 10 minutes.  (I work for a law firm) We continued to **** up and this seemed to escalate this crazy fellow's tactics.  He claimed  I was going to be sued and owe 3000.00.  We did some research and found this tele no. and others to be incorporated in some debt scam.  Yes****ay - after repeated calls, I demanded he tell me the name of the company, the address, the name of the supervisor and to send me proof of the debt ( because I have no clue).  He continued to argue.  Since then, I have made complaints with the FTC, Attorney General's Office and I am getting ready to file a police report.  When he calls a***n, I know he will,  I will agree that he should file a lawsuit and then I'll have the information and file a suit a***nst this company.!!!!  What a crazy situation.

This person said I had a federal warrant out for NOT paying a cash advance from 2009. He had my bank name the last four digits of my social security number. he called me on my cell phone...and I didn't have this number in 2009 nor did I have a cash advance. He was threatening and I saved the voice mail.

this number called me today and left a voice mail. they called me by my maiden name and said they were calling because my brother (who they called my friend) used me as a reference. i could hardly understand what he was saying, he had an accent and was yelling the whole time. he told me that if i didn't call him back then i would be taken to court along with my brother ("friend") and legal action would be taken. i was so confused.how can i stop this or report it?!

I have recieved one phone call from them.  After speaking with them, telling them I never took a payday loan, and then even asking when the supposed date of the loan was, they just swore, yelled, and threatened me.I asked them to email me more information to which they told me that if I didn't pay them $$ now over the phone they would file a lawsuit a***nst *****ey have since called a friend of mine with the same story, and they have also called my employer!!!!!Please provide any tips to make this stop...  I cannot have them harrasing my employer....

We've been getting calls several times a day from the same number for over a week.  Ours are a woman saying it is extremely urgent, litigation is being s****ed a***nst us, if we don't call back IMMEDIATELY our SSN will be blocked, our credit rating destroyed, we will lose our job and our reputation will be destroyed.  We've told them we don't know the person they are asking for, they just keep calling.  I put a trace on and notified our local police, talked repeatedly with our phone provider, and am about to contact the attorney general in NC, which incidently, I told the man I spoke with yes****ay, he ***g up on me, but I haven't received any calls today - yet.  I would suggest you also contact the AG's office.  I also can hear other voices on other lines in the background making threats on other lines and I question if it is an American business.

I've gotten 4 calls today alone (it's 10:57 am) from a Jack Nelson saying my friend used me as a reference in a fraudulent activity and that "before I contact authorities or legal representation" to call them IMMEDIATELY!  He **** near yells the immediately part.  Very strange voice and accent, back ground noise.  But everytime he calls, it's from one number, but leaves a completely different number and area code to call him back on.  Very bizarre.  This time he said my phone and myself were under 24 hour observation.
