I live in Texas and made a donation once to The Achievement Place -- its a great charity, but I do wish they would remove my phone number after I ask

they don't want clothing, they want money, it's not even a reputeable charity, they continually harass you if you tell them to stop calling, i have received over 200 calls from them this week alone! and because they call themselves a charity/non-profit the no-call list doesn't apply! soon as i find the officers' names of this 'charity corporation' i am suing over harassment. they are not pranksters, it is a private corporation whose sole purpose for existence is to fleece unsuspecting people. we must all band together to wipe this pestilence from the face of the earth and find the corp officers' fone numbers and call them everyday with demands for money. see how they like it

I just called the number that was recommended 713 696-5501. Spoke to a woman that claims my number will be removed from the system. She stated that it will take 7-10 business days. Hope it works.

I get calls from this HOUSTON number a few times a day....I live in DALLAS.....They don't leave a message......

We've been getting these calls for years.  At first I spoke with the caller and asked to be taken off of their list.  The woman said that she didn't think that it was possible because our number was in the "brain of our system". They say that they are Achievement Place, but identify the call with "Clothing Donate".  And, these people may be just what they say they are, but they may not be either.  It could be a private group getting donations and profiting from them.  Either way, if they really are The Achievement Place, then they should care what kind of public image that they are putting out there. I also don't donate to them anymore.  Partly because of this telephone harassment, and because of the "sorry, we cannot remove your number" routine.  To me, this type of attitude says, "we don't care".

These calls come from The Achievement Place/clothing donate. They refuse to remove my number from their numbers. I do not donate to them anymore because they make terrible pests of themselves and have done so for YEARS!

I receive calls every day from this number, 713-696-5555.  When I called back the recording said it is the Charity Donation Contribution Line and I could schedule a pick-up.  They also gave their website:  www.clothingpickuptx.com.  You can e-mail them and ask to be deleted from their call list.  I am going to try this and hope it works - they are very annoying!

Please don't blame the Texas Paralyzed Veterans, a non-profit charitable group. An outside party makes these calls and pick-ups. They try to stay on top of the complaints by letting the 2nd party know about them.

they call here all the time - we never answer. i think somebody working in a call-center (or maybe work from home) has a quota they need to fulfill & they repetitiously call those numbers where noone answers to pad their statistics.

Calls appear as "Unknown Name", so I don't answer it, but they don't leave a message, either.

This "clothing donate" calls our house up to four times a day, six days a week.  I have had to block this so-called charity and several others who abuse their exemption from "do not call" status.  Honestly, once a month I can understand, but 100 times?  Are they paid by the number of calls they make, regardless of how many are repeats?

Once a month might be understandable; but 4 times a day, six days a week is harrassment!  I don't care if it says "Clothing Donation", if it is a valid charity or not.  I have blocked their calls and they still keep it up!?!?!

Houston Achievement place picked up my donations Wednesday the 30 of December.  The radio was blaring rap music in the truck when they got on the front of my house.  I could hear it all the way in my house.  They then picked up the items which included a set of dishes which were throwned in the truck!  I was horrified to hear glass braking! Total disregard for what was inside those bags. I had taken the time to wrap these dishes so they would not brake! You would think that the donations would be welcomed, and a person could benefit for having these items.  I will not donate to this association again.  Total disregard for what they pick up!

These people call several times a day every day.  Will not take me off of their list when I answer and do not leave messages if I do not pick up the phone.  I will not donate to people using these types of solisiting tactics.

This apparently a cell phone number. They call at all hours of the day and night, two or three times a day. It has been going on for at least a year. In the beginning, I answered and asked them to take my name off the list, but the calls only intensified. HELP!

They were the "Texas Paralyzed Vets" or something, calling for donations of clothing and household items. I set up a bag for them that they didn't collect, so now I always just tell them that I don't have anything to donate, and just drop it off at Goodwill on my own time instead.
