they have now called us 3 times and the recorded message is the IRS filing a lawsuit. Sounds like if you don't answer you get the IRS message and if you do answer, you win a trip! The actual number it came from was 286-677-000.

I received a recorded call stating that I needed to call the 716 number because IRS is filing lawsuit a***nst me. As a taxpayer with a CPA I had a hard time believing this and when I called the number it was a guy with a thick accent I could barely understand. He had my maiden name, which I c****ed 5 years ago and an old address in which I haven't lived in over 2 years. I gave him no information and basically ended up yelling at him for wasting my time. He then ***g up on me when I kept questioning why the IRS wouldn't have my most up-to-date information and questioning how I could believe him.

Got a call from this same number today & knew it was a scam call from his thick accent which made it hard to understand what he was saying. He said that I had won a trip that I had signed up for & when I said "so" (dingie must have thought I said "no") he proceeded to tell me that it was some time ago. When I said "and" he told me to get a pen & paper to write the information down, said "and" a***n & he s****ed telling me I had a choice 4 day/3 night cruise from Miami to what sounded like Nassau or LA to Ensa***a. I told him that I didn't have the money & he s****ed going into another s***l on 2 other cruises & all I would have to pay were the taxes. I then told him that I was recovering from two major surgeries & I don't have the money, goodbye & ***g up. I'm going to have to keep my small hand held air horn handy & when I get these calls, give them a blast, then maybe they'll pass the word & I won't be getting any more of these calls on my 'no call list' phone numbers!!!

Caller told me that I won a prize by filling out a piece of paper at any shopping mall or grocery store. Did not bother listening to the offer.
