They identified themselves to be Centurylink. Said i qualified for new permanent lower rates, the indian speaking guy, kept rattling off numbers, said the quality super would call me back, and they did, but i had a bad connection, and had other lines going, so hung up on them. Then I wrote down the number, called Centurylink, verified w/them that these ppl were not with them, and now, i am waiting for them to call back. They are outright scam artists, and I cant wait for them to call back, as its a no holds bar with me situation. Scum bags. Dont be fooled by the fast talking accented "politeness" they give you, as soon as you call their bluff, they may get nasty. Upon talking with an actual Centurylink Rep, she had told me I was not the first one to call them up about these ppl. A few months ago i had a similar experience about something being "cancled" that was never cancled and they wanted to send me a final invoice, they actually had the balls to call me up and yell at me when i said no, that i didnt have authorization to accept final invoice, so therefore i wasnt able to cancel the acct. He called me up yelling, and threatening that the bill would be because of me and all this other happy crap... once the boss confirmed that he didnt cancel anything and had no idea what it was about i did the research and found the truth.. i've been waiting for them to call back... still waiting..
