Therefore, I filed complaints with the FTC and my state Attorney General. When the calls began was kind of odd. My mother's car broke down, and she had to call for a tow through State Farm. Within about an hour, we began getting phone calls for an extended warranty. I would hope State Farm or their partners did not sell off our information to a company that fails to check the national DNC list. I would also hate to think it is AT&T, our phone provider, might be continuing to sell our calls off to a third party despite opting out: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/07/08/att-selling-data_n_3561263.html. We had problems with this for about a month awhile back, and then we figured out they were selling our private data (e.g. phone conversations). As much as I'd like to suggest to just mess around with this warranty company like others have suggested, they are violating federal law. It's NPS from some Motor Vehicles Place...so they claimed. They call at least 3x a day. The guy also had my whole VIN # and my address on my car. I let them do all the talking, never agreeing then hung up. I called the number to be taken off the list and the center is only open 9-5. They haven't heard the end of me :-).
