I've been getting these calls for a few years now. I'm only now learning from you all that it is related to blood donation. When I used to pick it up, there would be no one on the other side. The trick is to to just stop picking up the calls completely. I used to get the calls all the time, now I only get them once every couple months. I think they can register if you pick up the phone, so they know it's not a dead number.

Hadn't had one for a couple of months 'cause I donated in April, but just got one now. Somebody has been calling me from this number once or even twice a day for about the last two weeks. I have been getting phone calls from this number for the past 2 days, I didn't answer since I didn't recognize it, and they don't leave a message. I decided to google the number to see what came up & I found this page. I am not looking forward to getting these calls on a regular basis; I think I will contact the firehouse where I last donated to see if they can help, and maybe next time they call I will ask to be taken off their list. They are relentless! I donate when I can, but when they harass me it makes me procrastinate... I've received calls when I was already scheduled to donate, and even a week or two after donating I'm told they see I "haven't donated for a while." They just called me at work. When the call was transferred to my desk, they ***g up after I answered.
