There is one thing I can promise you about Melani Brothers,  it does not matter one iota how many time you tell them to stop calling they are'nt going to and here is why. When you sign up with them to"win" a sunroom,windos,siding, and you sign the bottom of the entry form,  you are giving them legal permission to call THAT number for the rest of eternity and they will.  It does not matter what _do not call list you get on or how many times you ask them to stop calling, they won't.  There is ONLY ONE WAY to get them to stop calling you and get deleted from their database and that is if you set an appointment with them and before they come out they do a postscreen of your credit and find out you have bad or poor credit and can't afford their overpriced products (that said, a rep calls you and says their salesperson has had and emergency come up and they need to reschedule you, and guess what, the don't call back, they delete you, but that just shows you their dishonesty and on that note it is a whole different topic.)  If you do set an appointment with them and they come out, you are in for a wild ride because they are some of the pushiest sales people I have ever seen in my life.  And lastly, NO, buying so****ing from them won't get them to stop calling you because they offer so many products that once you have purchased a sunroom from them, the want to sell you a house full of windows, or siding, or gutters.......it never stops.  Now for the disclaimer- It was about five years ago that I worked there and they might have c****ed a lot of their dishonest and VERY annoying business practices since then. This bears repeating one more time-  IF you sign up to win and sign the bottom of that entry form, they will call that number forever!  To, the lady I am responding to, if they told you it would'nt be a sales pitch, they are probably telling you a bold face lie because thats the same thing we told people five years ago and believe it or not, they actually had one salesmen who had the police called on him because he told the person whose home he was in that he was'nt leaving until they singned the contract(a***n, they ARE pushy).

Legally, the only way to stop them from calling is to tell them "Take me off the list".  If you only tell them to stop calling, they will continue to call.  They are kind of shady with their calling practices...They are trained to call your number 3-5 times a day, and then at the end of the day they use a random cell phone to "trick" you into answering.

Regardless of whether or not you fill out some card (as James was referring to), they still call you. I have never filled out any of those cards, and I do not give my home phone number out to anyone that doesn't need it, but I still get calls from them. All it will take is to let tell them to remove you from their calling list. If they call back, report them to the FCC, that second call from them will result in a fine.

I saw them at a home show in Richmond, VA last August or September 2008 and also, provided my cell, because my parents were considering replacing their windows. (I think that was the service of interest). They Melani Brothers called me soon after. After speaking with my mother, I called them back and left a message that my parents were not interested in the "service" at the moment and it would be, at least, 1 year before they would consider the work. Today is Feb 20, 2009 - I rec'd 2 calls from them today about 15 minutes ago. From Aug/Sept 2008 through today, I receive 1 - 2 calls EVERY WEEK. I never answer the phone because I know it's them; yet they still call.

It is definitely Melani Bros.... Don't be fooled by their rep telling you that they "would like to enter you into a free drawing to win free windows and/or services".  They just continue to randomly call to set up an appt. to come out and give you a free estimate.  I have told them numerous times that I only gave my info for the drawing but their employees obviously have comprehension problems.

My first post was 16 May 2008.  I'm still getting calls from them (just got another one, prompting this post).  Since my last post, they've called me about 4 times.  The last time I spoke to them (last week) I told them a***n that I no longer wanted the sunroom (they still want to come out to measure "in case" I win the free sunroom).  They are very surprised when you tell them you aren't interested in winning a free sunroom.I'm sure more people will be called since Fredericksburg just had another home show.  I just don't answer the number anymore.

Getting calls to a number I don't give out (except friends/family) from an area code I don't live in/near. Informed wrong number (and persons they ask for), don't call, yet receive daily calls and no message when don't answer.  Assume they have my number by mistake, but not sure why they won't move on and stop calling...

When you fill out a card or flyer at anytime you should expect a call. If you didn't receive a call you would be the people complaining about how unprofessional they were for not calling you. If you don't want a call then stop filling out the forms trying to get so****ing for nothing! Just remember that everyone has to be able to provide for their families.

This number called my cell phone last night but did not leave a message.  I don't answer calls on my cell phone or home phone for that matter from numbers I do not recognize.  Seems rude to call and not leave a message.  I know I've spoken to this company in years past but not recently.  Diligent group, huh...wouldn't be so bad if my cell phone didn't count per minute I was on it.  They should stick to home numbers unless specifically instructed otherwise.

We got caught up in this.  We saw them at a home show in Fredericksburg and entered to win a free sunroom.  Of course, after you enter and give your number, that's when they tell you they have to come out to do their measuring/*****sment.  I keep putting them off and they keep calling.  They promised there would be no sales pitch, just an****essment, however, I have not taken them up.  In all fairness, they have not been overbearing.

If you put your name and number on a list for remodeling they will call you.  You can't blame a company for following up on a lead.  As for the initial complaint here the phone call should have stopped after realizing it was a wrong number, that was obviously a blatant error.

I received this call today at 3:20 , but did not answer because I did not recognize the phone number.

They are the Melani Brothers.  They are contractors who send salesman/appointment setters door to door.  If you give them your number, THEY WILL CALL.

They keep calling my parents house as well. I have lodged complaints a***nst them with the National Do Not Call List but that seems to have come to no avail. So if anyone gets a call from 757-327-0615, it is Melani Brothers and don't answer it!

From what I have found this looks like it is Melani Brothers.  I have been getting these calls to my cell phone constantly.  They are asking for someone named Stacey.  I am not Stacey and have told them that several times.  I just got the call a***n and screamed at them that they have been told several times that they have the wrong number and not to call back.  I told them they had better never call my number a***n and did he understand me.  He apologized but I do not have high hopes that they will not call back.  Why in the world would they keep calling if they know that no one is going to talk to them?  I have not given them a chance to say who they are or what they want.  I just don't understand why they would continue to call a wrong number.
