Okay... all of the above.  Several different men with thick Indian accents... one who called me "effing ******" and was very aggressive.  Here's the kicker:  I work in THE PENTAGON.  They are calling this number and saying that they are the "government" (not of my country, from the sound of it) and threatening to come after me.  I'm at a freaking loss.  I think that this was an iden***y theft situation gone even worse, so am looking into c****ing account numbers, etc.  Will go to the FBI next... they are a couple of blocks away!!

I got the same kind of thing...heavily accented woman who ended the call with "and if I don't hear back from you....all I can say is.....good luck to you, as this situation unfolds and consumes your entire life" in some creepy way.  I guess I'm just going to ignore it unless it gets out of control, then I will report it.

I just got a messge from an indian woman... she ended her call with, "and if you don't call me back - God save  your life"....???? ***???!!!  I think I'm being threatened and am going to report it.... !

I HAVE BEEN CALLED BY OFFICER  MIKE HARRIS CLAIMING HE IS FROM FEDERAL INVEST BUREAU.. AND HE WAS TAKING ME TO COURT FOR A 375 DOLLAR LOAN HE CLAIMS I RECIEVED. OH COURSE I NEVER RECIEVED A LOAN OF ANY KIND. HE SAID HE WILL MAKE AN EXAMPLE OF ME AND SUE ME FOR 10,000 THE POLICE AND SHERIFF WILL BE COMING TO GET ME .I TOLD HIM I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH ATT GENERALS OFFICE AND HE SAID HE OULD FINGER ME. I DONT KNOW OF ANY PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS THAT WOULD SAY THAT. I TOLD HIM NEVER CALL ME HE USES OTHER NUMBERS TOO 374-416-5176 AND 206-687-9293 THEY HAVE NUMBERS ALL OVER THE US KINGSTON NY, SEATTLE WASHINGTON,AND DETROIT CRAZY ACCENTS

I rec'd a call yes****ay 4/16/11 @ 7:40am from an Ashley smith informing me that I must return a call to 760-284-4637 immediately to resolve an important business matter(this was a v/m). I called bank the number & a gentleman by the name of Dan Wilson informed me that his colleague Ashley must have called me. I then asked him what the call was in ref to, he stated that it's for a cash advance loan that was supposedly deposited into my checking acct. He also stated because I didn't pay back the loan as agreed, I was being sued by them for the total amt of $5800 & the representing lawyer's name was Scott Williams. The call got a lil heated as I expressed that I never took out a loan for $300. I told them I'd be calling my bank to verify this info. Of course there were no funds were direct deposited to my acct. This through up a red flag..... I called them back spoke with a Eric(Erica) I asked to speak with a supervisor. The gentleman that was I was xfr'd to claimed to be attorney Scott Williams when indeed it was the orig rep I was speaking to (Dan Wilson). I caught him off guard when I asked "Is this Dan?, he said my name is attorney Scott Williams; I asked why'd you **** up on me earlier, that was very rude & unprofessional" He then said: "I ***g up on you because I was getting very annoyed with you, etc....." That right there told me all I needed to know. I said what I had to say, ***g up the call. Then I placed a call into the credit agencies & local police dept........ To those sick individuals who have nothing better to do then to try & take advantage of ppl & try to make money off your scams. Your day with your maker will soon come......God sits high & looks low! And to everyone who's fall victim to this scam......BE VERY CAREFUL! Be on the lookout for a DAN WILSON, SCOTT WILLIAMS, ERICA/ERIC, ASHLEY SMITH with very THICK Indian accent

I just recieved another call from this number threatening me with legal action.  I have reported the to the FTC, I believe they got my information from a pay day loan application I took out.  This is called iden***y theft and hacking the internet.  Not charges the FTC takes lightly.  I have asked the to send me so****ing in writing and I would present it to my attorney at which point they wanted to transfer me to the supervisor to discuss fees.  The other number they use is 323-786-8723 beward.  I have reported both to the FTC.

Got the same call Wednesday morning, April 6th, from 760-284-4637.  Sounds like the exact same thing.  Heavy accent.  Counldn't understand half of what he was saying.  Keep saying I needed an attorney, and that he was filing all these charges.  He said that he is a licensed California attorney.  I couldn't get him to shut up long enough to say anything.  So I told him to stick it in his a** and ***g up.

i received the same phone call tonite i could barely understand what he said on my voicemail but it was in regards to getting an attorney and he wish me the best of luck if I didn't call back immmediatelywhat should i doany ideas??????

Same type call as most of the people above except these people have both my cell and home phone numbers. I just got done screaming at them yes****ay on my cell, so today they are calling the home phone. Can barely understand what they are saying.

Having the exact same thing from the same exact numbers, heavy indian accent.  I have no idea what to do except to ignore.  Hopefully this is a simple ****** scam.

My sister and I within a couple hours got a call from 916-395-000 at 8 in the morning, i told her she had the wrong number, but she insisted that she did not.  She claimed to be Lisa Han, very bad Engli***  She told my sister, when she called her, that if she didnt have her or her attourney return the call, that all she could do was wish her the best of luck as the situation unfolds on her? soooooooo shady and creepy. will report them soon.

Yes, a very heavily accented "Sandra Williams" left me a very threatening message as well, also over $300. How are they intercepting this information in the first place? What would they do if we actually have our attorneys call them I wonder?

Sandra Williams sounds asian keeps calling me and even at work i want to report this to the police  as i do  not owe them anything .

I have an open file with the FBI since he quoted a ton of ontrastate laws and impersonated being an FBI Agent.  He threatened to break down my door (over a $300.00 loan..?..) and threatened my family.  He even gave me a false badge #.  He asked if I had warrants and told me I should get ready to call my parole officer..?..  He answered most questions rapidly yet he failed at the zip code question.Today he called me stating a different name and routed the call to appear as though it was coming from Sacramento  916.395.0000If he threatens you or your family and falsely states he is with the FBI, report him!

I'm getting the same messages.  My only thought is to do nothing...not return the calls.  Then will they go away?  If they press legal action, then at least I know what the heck it is about..  Calling them back only makes it look like a scam.  Jenny can't even talk properly which really bothers me, so I feel it is definitely a scam.I did c****e my bank account numbers. I would recommend doing that.  Also, I applied on Iden***y Guard.  Another fake number is 206-787-9203...another heavy accent named James King.

I received a call today from a number that appeared on my phone as 000 then I was give  this number 760-284-4637 stating they were an attorney and I owed money. I told them I do not owe any money for a cash, payday loan as they stated then he said it was under investagation. It just happen to be I was outside my bank, so I went into my bank and gave the bank manager this number. She called and asked them what type of business this was and she told him she was from my bank and she was calling for her client. The man that had an Indian Accent asked her an account number to prove she was from a bank and he would not tell her what kind of business it was. She told me it was a scam and to report them. This has been helpful to me to read other posts that confirms this is a scam. In the future I am going to be much more careful with my telephone #. I hope they do not call a***n but if they do I just will not answer the phone. And I will also try to report this number to the BBB so that they can be shut down..

If you ever get a call from this number:  760-284-4637 ignore it or if they leave you a message don't worry about it.  This is a SCAM and they are trying to scare you into sending them money.  They will have your name, address and your Social Security Number.  If you have ever gone online and applied for a pay day loan this is how they have gotten your information.  I got a call from an Indian guy who said his name was Samuel Johnson, who could barely speak English telling me about money I owed and if I didn't pay they were going to take legal actions.  I was furious and could barely wait for him to finish with this scam and then I let him have it.  I told him to proceed with his legal action because it would be a cold day in***** before he ever get one dime from me.  I also told him that I knew this was a scam and that I have already reported them to my local police, the FBI and the FTC.  He then began to say "you B***H" and ***g up on me.  I never got another call from them.  My advice is to call them out when you get a call from them then they will leave you alone.

I just received a phone call saying the same thing everyone else is commented on! The number on my caller ID is 1-916-395-0000 and the call back number was this number.  I let it go to voicemail.  His name was JACK ANDERSON with a very thick indian accent.  He told me that it is URGENT that i or my attorney get back to him regarding this matter and if i don't he wishes me the best of luck.  Now every message said the same exact thing like they were reading off a sheet of paper.  I will continue to ignore the messages and just don't answer the phone.My other option is just tell them you are going to the authorities like Attorney General, FBI, and local police to report them and eventually should stop.  By the way, as I am leaving this message, they called a***n.  Just called an attorney and they told me that it is a scam and that w***ver these people are bought a list of phone numbers from a third party.  So anytime you apply online for loans or payday loans just leave a fake phone number.

I've been getting the same call from this number and theyre claiming to be the district attorneys office in california???? the heavily accented indian people with incredibly american names keep calling me telling me not to ignore them and that they will bring me up on charges if i do not respond. also, they claim I took out a loan?

I GOT A CALL FROM (1-760-284-4637 ) SAYING I TOOK A LOAN OUT OF 300.00.. THEY HAVE BEEN CALLING ME CONSTANTLY ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY AND THEY CALL FROM DIFFERENT NUMBERS , I CALLED MY BANK AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NEVER A DEPOSIT TO MY ACCOUNT .THESE PEOPLE HAVE A HEAVY INDIAN ACCENT ALSO WHEN I TRYED TO CALL THE NUMBERS BACK THEY WERE NOT WORKING LOL ...
