Calls for someone supposedly that isn't me or my husband. WE have had this number for years so someone has given our number or it's just a scam. I presume they are trying to collect money either legally or illegally. Either way they need to stop calling my number every 2 hours and leaving automated messages.

It is Synchrony Bank, calling to collect on Carecredit and like all the other comments say they are persistent as*****. I already sent a payment to them recently but they keep calling and today sent a registered letter. I don't have the means to get to the post office so I'm going to ask them to redeliver it on Wednesday since I will not be here at the time they will likely show up tomorrow. So frustrating!!!

they call several times a day even on sundays. sometimes they leave a msg sometimes they do not. they always ask for linda wilson. Yesterday I had enough. I answered and told the indian accented man there is no linda wilson here to remove my number. He apolagized and said he would. NEXT day,,, two calls again. I finally answered. i spoke with HELEN who explained the sae thing to and told her my number was supposed to be removed. I asked to speak with her supervisor NANCY who i again went off on saying how im harassed with calls and there is no linda wilson here and i am filing a complaint because this is wrong. And I certainlly shouldnt be bothered on a SUNDAY, I asked for her direct number so WHEN this happens AGAIN i can call her because ive been told twice now this matter is taken care of. I told her Im reporting them and I hope they get sued and shutdown ( i was soooo mad) She could not give me her number just a 1800 #, I said No i want YOUR number. You call me several times a day,, Would you want me calling YOU several times a day asking for someone who doesnt even live here. SHe appolagized several times and despite my total rudeness she was mannered. This is crazy. AND im going to copy/paste this on any complaint site i can find about them

They have called multiple times and the only two times it connected they were. Calling for someone I had never heard of. First time I was polite second time they got an ear full and the calls stopped.
(800) 292-7508
Getting 10 to 20 automated calls a day and never anyone there. After close to 100 calls in one week someone was actually there and they got an ear full, I didn’t give them a chance to tell me what they wanted or who they were looking for. I read them the riot act based on harassing phone calls as spelled out in the Fair Credit Reporting Act. If you can’t stop the calls you can fight them Know your rights, read about it at http://credit.about.com/

Out of the blue this # s****ed calling my home phone like nuts - noticed caller id with about 7 calls for one day on a Friday but no messages, and then on Sa****ay morning next day they s****ed a***n - obnoxious When I answer the line it says so****ing of a brief recorded wait to transfer or what not, clicks and then leaves me in dead silence - I dialed in and it goes through a recording, hold, enter your account # - which I don't have, etc., etc. - managed to get to an actual person by staying on the line a bit, and they were lightly accented so communication was possible, but a little rude and off - likely as annoyed working for this company as I am getting harassed for no reason by them She asked for my account # - I explained I don't have one but s****ed getting tons of calls out of the blue - no messages and the line ****s up every time like I'm caught in a computerized/automated call nightmare - to please just remove the number - she asked for my name - I asked how that was relevant - I don't want to make it easier for them to build and sell off marketing lists or whatever so I get harassed more so - she asked for my phone number, which I did relay as they obviously have that nested in their records somewhere - tried helping by explaining too that it's a fairly ... under a year... new phone number, and could be wrong in the records, and too, that I've gotten wrong collections calls for a neighbor ....we share the same street number, but different apartment #'s.... which could be the case this time too - she asked for his name - I relayed his last name - she asked ... "so you're not S***e Smith...?" - wasn't literally S***e but whatever - I told her krikes no - I am not S***e - ridiculous I asked her to please remove my phone number immediately from their system so these constant automated glitchy calls stop - I explained how frustrating it is with the frequency of calls and inability to reach a person when the line is picked up - she told me to calm down and that she was an actual person and yet I was speaking over her - with that she wasn't sure she even wanted to help me - ahhh I see - well, the basis of it is harassment so complaints can be filed and numbers can be blocked - she and all the other rep's who surely hate their jobs should look into a different career field or company - else, expect people will be ****ed when your company engages in such practices harassing people It's foolish too as numbers are so easy to get, drop, c****e no***ays and what not - collections type companies are really foolish to think it's a viable way to reach a person and reach the correct person they intend - they likely waste more time, money and resources with those tactics than they do bring in I couldn't help but think/dream after this nonsense though - it would be SO nice if there were computerized systems in place - or could be ones put into place rather to kinda monitor and crimp this bs - that would in turn constant dial these bad telemarketing and collections numbers and jam up their lines like they do ours with these computerized auto dials and nonsense harassment - it still wouldn't be the the same as it wouldn't be bothering them at home but just an office type line or call center - still, it could crimp and mirror back the bs possibly

These people have been calling up to four times a day for at least two months. Fortunately we have our answering machine to p/u on the second ring. After about the tenth try most telemarketers give up, but sometimes to begin again at a future date. Telemarketers, they are relentless eh? Not to plug comcast, I'm not one of their biggest fans by a long shot, but they do offer with their phone service a # block. There are but a dozen slots that was filled in no time. Telemarketers, they are relentless eh? At one point I p/u an all-in-one scanner/copier/fax machine on the cheap ($80.00). It was a while before I discovered that it came with a call-blocker. I have yet to reach it's unknown limit. Also, I know this call-blocker is working because when any of the numbers on the call, my phone rings once. That's it, no message, nothing. Some take a while to get the hint. We know because there are repeat attempts. Telemarketers, they are relentless eh? Now, For (800) 292-7508. These people have been calling for a couple of months now. Upwards of four times a day. From the start of the day to the end of the day. Once GE Money had the ballz to leave this message, " If you wish these calls to end, call 1 800 292 7508." We couldn't believe it. That was the last straw so they were too added to the call-blocker a few days ago. Nine times they tried, still they don't get the hint! Telemarketers, they are relentless eh?
(800) 292-7508
yes GE money my number is unlisted blocked and not posted any where I just had the number changed so I don't know how they would have gotten my number

This is GE Money (now called GE Retail Capital)'s debt collection center. From the accents of its employees, I think it is a call center located in Bangalore, India, but I have not confirmed this. Here is GE Money's consumer web site: https://www.gogecapital.com/en/consumer-credit-financing/index.html . They are a legitimate company. but the collection agency they have hired is too aggressive. Be very careful handling any credit card you get from GE Money/GE Retail Credit. I have one issued by CareCredit to help pay for dental bills. Their terms and conditions notice says that if you are late making a payment, or if you cannot pay the full amount each month, they charge you from 23% - 25% interest. This is usury, but apparently no one has called them on it. CareCredit has deals with some doctors and dentists that allow you a 6-12 month grace period to pay back your charge with no interest. To set up this deal for you, the doctor or dentist enters a special code when you check out after your appointment. What the terms and conditions agreement does *not* say is that GE Retail Credit will expect you to pay a minimum amount every month *and will charge you interest* if you do not pay it. If you notice this quickly, for example in the first month they tack on the interest charge, call them up and tell them that there was nothing in their written agreement about a minimum monthly charge for these special deals, and that this is *fraud*. Then they may cancel any interest already billed to you as long as you immediately pay whatever monthly balance(s) you owe. Otherwise they'll tack that high interest on! In my opinion this is a dangerous credit card to have, and I got it only because I couldn't afford the dental surgery I needed. Once I have paid off my bill, I intend to cut up the card and write a letter to GE Retail Capital to cancel my account. (You have to write them to cancel; just cutting up the card is not enough.) GE Retail Capital recently took over GE Money's accounts, so if you signed an agreement with GE Money you are now dealing with GE Retail Capital.

I am a senior citizen I have an order from court that states no bill collectors should be calling me at all they said I am behind one payment on my p.c. richards account and I told them and that shows I am making payments and you have to harass me all week every day of the week even Sunday morning for one payment. There are breaking the law by calling me.
(800) 292-7508
This is a debt collector call but their calls are annoying because they call and do not leave a message. I had the same experience I finally called to see who it was and it is in fact GE. When you call it is a machine and it takes 2-3 transfers before you finally get a live person.

(800) 292-7508
I got two calls on my cell phone today but no one was there. In the mail, I received a notice that GE Money has taken over an account that I have been paying on. On page 2 of their bill is a phone number to call to "opt out" of having their automated equipment call my cell phone. I did it. Let's see if it works.
(800) 292-7508
Checked my call log. This number called me 5 times yesterday beginning at 7:05 in the morning. We have children still sleeping then. And isn't it against the law for them to call that early. If this is G. E. Money then I think many of us need to get together and complain to the FCC or whoever and make them stop. Not later but right now!
(800) 292-7508
They call 7 days a week using different numbers, even Private Caller, Private Number, Unknown Caller Unknown Number, sometimes they will leave a message. They really think they are the only ones and most important ones. Yeah right. i hired an attorney, They can deal with him, not me or anyone else in my family. They will not talk to me, because the account is in his name, but he has notime or interest dealing with them. I told them flat out, they will talk to me, or they will talk to the FTC. Tonight they called 2x within 6 min time. We do not answer the phone any longer now!

Off shore "customer service" reps. Good luck gettingsomeone from India that can speak or understand English. Avoid this company like the plague. This includes GE money, care credit among others. Most of the time you don't know who it is until its too late.

I have had the same problem-we do have a ge money credit card (do not ever ever deal with these crooks, you'll gt a better deal with a loan shark) I had problems paying online ON A SUNDAY, WHEN THE BILL WAS DUE and After wasting pretty much the whole day, calling every number to find out that I need to call during regular business hours, even trying to pay by phone for a $10 fee on a Sunday only to find out they are closed. So I knew from the past that I would be getting slammed $39 for a late fee, even though I tried every avenue to avoid that only to be knocked down by NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AVAILABLE on the due date, and could not after a very long long time get the login to work online--it never did even on Monday when finally getting an English speaking person on the phone, who walked me through it--I have done this before, and it has and still does work for other companies--pretty much told me it was an id ten t error. ID10T error. Got a supervisor finally, and said all charges would be dropped and to mail it via usps and no late charge would be applied. OH YES THERE WAS--$35, $25, and they increased the min. pmt. from $34 to $70, and then had the nerve to send an URGENT email, to inform me that my $40 pmt was $12 short and needed to be paid that day by 5 pm--okay--online won't work, I will NEVER even try that for them--must be a bug in their system, I can pay everyone else online no problem--payment by phone is $10-15 (for a $12 charge????????) Which should not be there in the first place. Since then phone id says that from 9 in the morning till 9 at nite this number is calling, no message just a hang up--shut this piece of crap down--when I did call back I SPOKE TO A PERSON IN INDIA, WHO PRETTY MUCH SAID I LIED ABOUT TRYING TO PAY THIS BECAUSE THEY ARE THERE 24/7.
(800) 292-7508
It is GE Money: Rooms to Go. My account is current and has never been late, but they do hangup calls 3-5 times a day 7 days a week to try and get the next payment early by autopay. They should be prosecuted by the FTC for this harassment for no reason.
(800) 292-7508
This is a computer generated call asking to call back to that number or visit the GE money website. When then number is called back they ask for an account number. I have never heard of them before and don't have an account with them. If you don't pick up the call they leave a recorded message. They call every day at least 5-6 times, even on the weekend.
(800) 292-7508
This is a Rooms to Go account that I have and can no longer make payments on at this time as I am unemployed with no income, not even unemployment checks. They are calling 7 days a week from 8am to 9pm, several times a day and if I don't answer, they are not leaving voicemail.

GE Money constantly calls but does not leave a message??? What is with this....is this a legit company??? What kind of company calls their customer and does not leave a message on the customer's answer machine??? The company...Care Credit needs to find a better company to communicate with their customers. GE Money is a terrible company with terrible employees........the Attorney General's office needs to investigate GE Money.....and people who are harassed by GE Money needs to sue them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They need to be put out of business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(800) 292-7508
Calls multiple times per day, but I just hit "End" without picking up. I have no business with them whatsoever.
(800) 292-7508
They've been calling me at work and on my cell. They usually speak to the secretary who tells them I'm not available because I am not. I did speak to them once and they insisted that my account is $70 past due. The only problem is I do not have an account with them. When I tell them that, they say they'll send me a dispute form that I have to complete and return to them. They then rattle off my old (20 months ago) mailing address and ask me to confirm it. Sounds like a phishing scam to me so I refused to confirm the address or give my new address. Sometimes the messages say they are associated with Rooms-To-Go. This furniture store delivered furniture to my new address less than a year ago and they definitely have my new address. And I paid for the furniture with a Visa card. And it cost more than $70! And it was paid in full the following month. This sounds like a phishing scam!
(800) 292-7508
I keep getting calls from this number on my CELLPHONE. I do not have an account nor have I ever had an account with GE. They have told me twice i have been removed from their list, but the calls keep coming.I am also on the do not call list.

They call my 10 year old sons cell phone number more than 10 times a day looking for someone I dont know; I have talked to more than 15 different people and they still continue to harrass my child; They have bluntly tell me I am lying about my identity although they are looking for a man and I clearly am a woman; they have told me to shut up and have even hung up on me while refusing to allow me to speak to their supervisor; I've made it very clear that I am by law allowed to make harrassment complaints if they do continue to call my child's phone number yet they continue to call so I am now waiting for another part of the company to make contact with me about the situation; More than 10 times a day every single day is rediculous; Robert E. Wolfe please pay your bills so that I dont have to change my child's cell phone number!!!

I just got a call from GE and it's annoying when they keep calling you about the same thing. I have been sending payments every month like I have and what I can only send them I lost hours at work, and can't send them more then what they want if anyone knows how can I stop them from calling I have already expressed to them my issue...
(800) 292-7508
A pre-recorded message was on the phone when I answered. They were asking for a Ms Hughes. By the 4th call they left the above number but I was unable to speak to anyone because a loud buzzing came on the phone--like the sound of a fax machine.
(800) 292-7508
This number: 800-292-7508 is always calling.... just shows up, not provided, they call ALL hours of the day including 7 AM. I want it stopped
(800) 292-7508
GE Money called, (only the phone # showed on caller ID) and when I picked up, they did not speak! I could hear office background noise! So, I looked up their 800-292-7508 number, I found this site. I have no connection to GE Money whatsoever. Also, I am on the Nat'l Do Not Call Registry. While I realize creditors and such are likely exempt, it is rude and very annoying to receive these calls. I just called their number back and actually got a customer service REP and she begrudingly said she would remove my phone number. (You have to press a couple buttons when they ask for your account number, and after about 3 tries they connect you to the customer service Rep.) She was semi-polite We'll see if they really do remove my phone number. GADS!!!!!! It is so maddening. I hate these types of calls and have aggresively been fighting back, which isn't always easy but we all need to do it to beat them!
(800) 292-7508
GE Money is the account holder on a number of store credit cards (like Bransmart) - if you have a store card that may be what they're calling about
(800) 292-7508
Yes that's GE Money Bank. They facilitate credit card appplication through other retailers. Its possible to call back this number and press '0' once or more to quickly get to a real person on the phone. After confirming your identity, the person usually tells the reason why there was an automated call from 800-292-7508. I sorted out an issue they had with my recent purchase.
(800) 292-7508
If they're calling you at 3 a.m. , they're VIOLATING THE LAW! It is ILLEGAL for telemarketers, bill collectors and pollsters to call you between 9 pm and 8 am local time. If you've got caller ID, it will show the time of day the call came in. Use that to file a formal complaint against the company for violating the ban on calls after 9pm.

(800) 292-7508
The best way to handle these sorts of calls is to turn the ringer off on your telephone. If the call is from a friend or someone important they will leave a message on your answering machine. Simple as that.
(800) 292-7508
I am getting calls from these people up to 15 times a day some times at 3am and they don't leave messages on some days and on other days they will leave a message and they aren't even calling for me...its whoever had this number before me. But according to their machine since they have left voice messages this says that I am acknowledging who they are looking for...but how can I get them to stop if they don't want to hear what I am telling them
(800) 292-7508
As everyone said, they will not stop calling! Caller ID showed Private each time they call. I talked to them the first time they called, I told them I was not going to give any information to them, because I did not know if they were legit. They kept insisting and so did I, so I hung up. After 4 days of calling, multiple times a day, they finally left a message with 800-292-7508 as a return number. I verified the information where the purchase was made. They agreed not charge any late fees, finance charges or interest as originally promised, if the account was paid in full.
