Got a call from this same loser saying:he'd "been hired to conduct an investigation for an Asset & Liability claim filed against our corporation. The investigation is scheduled to start mid-afternoon tomorrow, and should be concluded by Friday afternoon. A report will be sent to CNA Incorporated. The employee at CNA incorporated who is handling this case and can answer any questions you may have ..."

Cowboy you don't know what you are talking about.They are a collection agency.  They try to say whatever they can to collect the bad debt.  They will not send a private investigator.  Even if they did (which they wont) all you would have to do is tell them to get lost.  They cannot do anything without a court order.  If the debt was big they woul not use this type of collection agency and just file suite against you directly.  So whatever debt they are calling about is small I can assure you. I have owned my own company for years now and they have contacted me many times about small disputed claims like bad phone bills etc... It is small debt.  I would just blow them off.

Someone named joseph or joe at extension 507 called me and told me if I didn't pay my bill he would execute a judgment agaist my company. I do owe a lot of people but I can't afford to pay right now. I don't know what to do?

Rubenstein is a punk and a coward. Coface employees are real tough guys on the phone or on-line. I was told "We have your address and know where you live". Well grow a set and come get me Rubenberg!  I'll break my foot off in your a**. Before you threaten somebody, you should get all of your facts straight. Ha! Just received a call from Paul Gerber- Private Investigator. On behalf of CNA, (never heard of CNA) said he'd be over to our business tomorrow afternoon and he should only need "3-4 days" to perform an asset investigation. Good luck a-hole. Appears to be just a ruse to get us to call CNA, Inc about whatever money we may owe to someone.

This company and its "investigator" Mike Ryan employ rude, bullying and ruthless tactics that should be reported to both the state attorney general and better business bureau. He contacted our business, spoke with an employee who was completely unfamiliar with the situation, demanded payment and claimed to be performing an asset investigation, then called back and spoke with my 71 year old mother, making egregious statements such as "what are you some kind of comedian?" and "what makes you think I believe you'll pay me a cent, you haven't paid these people [the alleged creditors] in MONTHS?"The beautiful thing is that we don't owe these jokers a CENT.  Demand that they cease and desist all forms of contact with you, then work out payment arrangements with your creditors directly (if they even exist in the first place).  These illegal tactics must be stopped, and this company's days are numbered.  Thank you for being stupid and making this easy.

Actually folks, anyone can hire a private investigator, Especially a large firm such as Coface , who is international, and not only collects for clients but will litigate as well. Wise up, they are no joke

I just received the same call as you all.  We call the police!! This guy is a huge scam. DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY INFORMATION JUST CALL THE POLICE!!!

I got a call from 800-509-6060 saying they were a private investagator named Al Watson and he wanted to talk about my assets I asked for a name and phone number to talk to the owner of this and he gave me some fake name. Then I get a phone call from a KEVIN STEINBERG at the same phone number 800-509-6060 and he starts to treaten me right off the bat. He is going to take me to court and cost me thousands of dollars in court costs. Then he started with other threats about not paying enough money. I sent in a payment with a paymant arrangement -he called again last nigh TELLING at me to pay him now and I told him I refuse to deal with him in this manner. I called the original company that holds the debt and spoke with the big wig about the treatment I have received from this 3rd party company.Do not let anyone yell or threaten you -you have the right to be delt with in a civilized manner.

Being an Inc., or LLC does not stop these guys.  They harass regardless of business entity formation.I would never give this company money.Work with the original creditor on payments and inform the original creditor how bad this company is to work with.Giving this company money only makes them think they are playing the collection game correctly.  If you stop paying them, they will go out of business.

Had a few calls to my home, on a phone line I never use, so when I finally checked the messages there were plenty from them.  Funny to hear the progression of their claims.  They were representing an unsecured vendor whose bill was 4 years old and off our books.  They claimed to be a law firm and that they were filing a judgment for the money and were going to report ME to the credit bureaus.  Since the work was for an LLC they cannot go after any member or shareholder only the LLC, so that is a bunch of crap.  As for them threatening me with a judgment only a judge can issue that after a case has been heard before him or her.  You can file a claim but you cannot just get a judgment...Oh yeah you also have to have legal representation in the state you are filing.  Better yet, a real firm cannot threaten to sue you unless they really going to do it, and they usually do that with the litigation paperwork they serve you with.  In essence, they will go through anything to try and get you to pay, unless you are protected by an Inc. LLC. LLP or other legal entity you will be harassed and they might eventually get their money or screw up your credit.  But they are A-Holes who try all types of tactics to get you to call them.

It's not a scam.  Coface is a legitimate company.  They are collecting on bad debts.  They are arseholes, especially Mike Ryan, but that's probably required for their job.I'm a business owner that fell behind on a few things and had the 'pleasure' of working with them.  Just wanted to let anyone know that it's NOT just a scam.  They are legit.

"chubb" said he was a private investigator coming over to our house to investigate our assets and accounts of business and myself, he said he was hired by  Mike ryan (see below) but did not indicate that I was in collections with Dex. I believe it was the same individual. calling from the same numbercalled 800-509-6060 x220 Mike ryan 0n 12/1/08he said the investigator that they frequently hire who operates out of the salt lake city west valley areahe doesn't get along we'll with peoplei bent over dex and gave it to them,I am a frodulent business ownerhe does't careI'd better get a card board box cause he's gona take my home and shut down my businessI must be a mormon, oh i'm not? ya a mormon would pay their bill wouldn't they,

A lady from 800-509-6060 left me a nasty message that there are law office but when I search there are collection agency.  Acting in unfriendly way to scare people.

I got a call today from 800-509-6060 ext 507 from a Lady who left unfriedly message without much explanation except a case number and they will do anything to get money????? what is this? SCAM? IIf they has info, send in writing but they do not do that.

Received a call from a Mr. Schilleci 800-509-6060 x130. He asked for the 'credit manager' at our company. He then asked if it was the answering service, which I said yes. Then he said to disregard the message and he will call back. We pay all our bills on time, so he must be wanting to setup to do collections for our company.

Call ask for the owner of the business....would not leave a call back tried to say the were calling about a job.  Use a fake country accent...would not say what company they were with.
