Different numbers and different people but same company or scam. The first time they called a man left a message. He said He was sorry and he wished me good luck for whatever may happen to me in the future. So i called back. The first time they hung up. Second time transfered me to the original caller he said his name was Charles Bryant but had a deeeep Indian accent. I asked him whaat was the call in reguards to he said i owed them money for a loan in the amount of 1500 dollars. Mind you I have NEVER received a loan so I knew it was a scam. I stated that to him and and asked the company name and contact info such as where they were located he YELLED and SCREAMED send the money and hung up. I called back and he yelled im gonna sue you i'll call back tomorrow and hung up again. I called back And SCREAMED IM contacting the BBB so it stopped for a while but i noticed the number again last night!

this compnay calls my cell and tells me i owe over 7000.00 on a car that was repo'd over 10 years ago. Of which is not showing on my credit report. somehow they got my husbands cell fone number of who i was not married to at the time of the repossesion. then they call my cell fone. when i asked how they got my number they said from an investigator but that it was not relivant as to how they got it. i had not heard from anyone on this car for 8 years. then 2 years ago someone calls me from some other collection company and says i can pay 250 and they will take my name off the contract and my x-husband would be solly responsible. that right there told me they were not legitemate. well unfortunalty they got to my ex-husband and he started paying them.(oh at that time the balance was 5000.00)  now 2 years later they are harrasing me again but this time it is a diffrent company. now they say i owe over 7000.00. Heres the catch, if they were a legitamate company they would not have talked to my husband now and told him all the information on the account to which he is not on. they also got rude with him and cursed him. professionals do not so this. these people are scam artist. ALSO, WHEN MY HUSBAND CALLED THE NUMBER BACK THEY ANSWERED UNDER A DIFFRENT COMPANY NAME THAN THE ONE THEY SAID THEY WERE FROM WHEN THEY CALLED THE FIRST TIME.

Sorry but your wrong on the statues of limitation. Statues vary by state. Civil action statues are 3 to 6 years (see your state laws), 7 years for credit filings, but the validity of a debt never expires as long as the collection agency can validate the bill (ie, provide copy of the bill, contract, etc).  Most collection agencies stop working accounts over seven years old from the date of last charge or date of last payment. Statues on judgments vary by state also, from 5 to 20 years with renewability of the judgement. Most people confuse the civil statues as the collection statues on a debt. Check the law, not some random website. You may get in trouble that way.

This company is trying to collect a Debt which the Statue of Limitations expired 4 yrs. ago. They act like I owe them the money. This company and companies like them are called Scavenger Debt Collectors. They buy old debts and threaten you if you don't pay. There's not a thing they can do. Look up the statue of limitations for your state, it might very well be expired!!!

Called - gave personal info to someone else here then refused to give me info or send me copies of anything. They say all I need to do is send them money even if they can not provide me with any info on what they want money for. Very pushy - not happy when I told them I was recording the last call.

I have been receiving ongoing calls from this 800-670-9944, ext. 228 number as well.  For the first time, I actually received one at my place of employment today, which totally ****ed me off.  I asked how you got this information, she said some company provided this info.  This account was settled as far as I am concerned way back, however, they are claiming it was charged off and they wanted me to fork up 5000 to settle a 16,000 debt they say I still owe.  The lady was extremely rude and wanted me to commit that I either have filed bankruptsy or have an attorney involved.  She used every scare tactic known to man.  I told her to never a***n call my place of employment and to put that on record.  She said she would not commit to that.  I then said I would file a complaint.  She said go ahead and ***g up on me.  She also said be prepared to be taken to court.  She also mentioned that the statue of limitations is drawing near and that I was still obligated to pay.  I said no way.  Here is another example of how far these collection agencies will go to scare you into committing to so****ing.

These people call all the time.  They are now calling me on the job.  I don't know who they are trying to collect for, but I will not be harassed.  They sound very rude and nasty and I will not deal with that.   I only deal with these companies with letters and I give an offer (usually at least 50% off) of any balance that is offered.Thank you everyone for talking about their experience with these people.  Now I know what's going on.  Knowledge is Power.  Know your rights.

This company called my home looking for someone who has not had this phone number for FIVE YEARS.  When I asked them to repeat the name, they told me they could not divulge the info.  I insisted on speaking with a supervisor, got transferred twice, disconnected once (but I am persistent) so I called back and finally got VOICEMAIL of someone named Jay Mancini.  He has not returned my call.  I want to know where they got my phone number and if the woman who formerly had it is continuing to give it out now.

They keep calling claiming that they have left tons of messages and they will be around when we get home from work (how do they know when we work) and that the matter involved a "ranch agreement". Went to do not call registry

They call leaving garbled phone messages on my cell phone. Called them back and they do not identify themselves other than to ask pointless questions. For instance, when asking why they are calling, they ask why did you call us.

What makes me very uncomfortable about these calls is that they call periodically and ask for different people. I have asked them to take me off their list but it doesn't happen, new people call me back. They immediatly know the number I have called from. Everytime they ask if I am a person they are trying to locate - never have they had anyone that I am accuated with. When I ask who and what the company is they hang up on me. I feel they are searching for more than trying to collect a debt. It makes me feel very uncomfortable. There is much more to this than anoying phone calls.

I keep receiving recorded messages telling me to call 800-670-9944. I finally called this moring to inquire why I am getting these recorded calls. The man who answered, requested my cell number, asked if I was "Amanda" something or other and when I said I wasn't, & asked what the company name was & what the call is regarding, he got extremely rude, saying it's a personal matter & against the law to tell me other than the company name was OCS. I requested to be removed from whatever list & told him I would be calling Better Business Bureau to complain.

this number called so many times! i finally answered and asked what company they were with. the man rudely answered, " if you want to know so bad, find out!" i asked who are you and why are you being so rude? he replied, i make a living out of sum like you who dont pay their bills! he was so rude, but would not tell me what company he was with!!

There are two people that keep calling. The main one is Anna ext 229 and the other is Sandy ext 111. Try calling them a c'zillion times back...it's their dime. Tell them to cease and desist. OCS keeps calling my home and there is no reason for it. They don't tell you what they are calling for so you can't even try to help them. It's getting ridicilous....I have a newborn with colic and have had to keep my phone turned off because they call so much!!

They have many extensions and many operators, and they are all rude. They are debt collector for many businesses, they want your number when you call them so they can bring up your information. the DoNotCall list will not apply to them as they are not a telemarketer. my suggestion is when they call, answer them and tell them whoever they are looking for does not live there and has never lived there.

Some lady named Sandy leaves a very rude message and never identifies her company or what (or who) she wants. I called the number back and it just rang and rang - no answer and no machine.

Caller Id only displays the number 800-670-9944. A msg is sometimes left "This is Sandra and I've been trying to get ahold of you, please call me back at 800-670-9944 x. 111. We are here from 8-3 M-F." NEVER do they say WHO they are. So, I called back. "OCS" that is all I get. We're a business. (NO duh?!) --what KIND of business? "Many kinds of businesses, what's your phone number?" No one would tell me what OCS stood for, or WHY they were calling me without me giving them MY phone number -- they already HAVE my number b/c they call 5 times a day! I'm on the Nat'l Do Not Call Registry, which I told them, I told them not to call again, then they asked me for my phone number and why I was yelling?!!!!

Lewis called me at work. I asked him to please not call me at work anymore. The very next day he called me at work again. Then when I tell him that I'm unable to pay the amount hes asking, he says "oh, so you're refusing to pay your account" I said no, I just can't pay it all now. He said " Yes yes you are" and hung up on me. He is the rudest person I've talked to. He needs to learn some tact, or get a different kind of job!!!!!!

A woman named Sandy called and left a voice mail message on my cell phone. I returned the call and asked what the name of the company was. They tried to tell me they needed my phone number to tell me the name of the company. I finally gave them my phone number and they told me the name of the person they were trying to reach. It was not me and they said they would remove the number and hung up on me. The person I dealt with was extremely rude.

A woman named Daisy called on October 7, 2008 at 8:24am. She left a message in a rude tone and stated that it was September 30 and I needed to call her before 4pm. I called the number she left (800-670-9944) and was directed to an operator who answered by saying, "OCS". I asked what OCS meant. She replied by asking me what my name was. I said, "someone has been calling me at this number, I want to know what OCS stands for". She then shouted, "Sir, get a life" and then hung up on me.

Calling for someone who does not live at this address. When I ask who he is with he gets very rude and hangs up. When I call back he continually hangs up or tells me he will have his secretary put me to his voice mail and he will delete my messages in the morning. This is totally unacceptable and I believe everyone who is getting calls from this man should contact the BBB or the Attorney General to stop him!

Person left message on the answering machine of the business where I work. When I called back, the person answering the phone refused to identify the business, but asked for our number and my name. I gave her the business name and asked the nature of the call. She said the business name was not on file and that unless I gave the phone number or my full name they couldn't help me. She refused to name the business or tell me the nature of her call.

Same name "Sandy" has called twice now, I'm pretty sure it's a recording because a message was left at 9:09 PM stating that she'd be in her office until 3:00 pm. I tried calling her back the other day at the extension she left but it apparently is an invalid extension. She doesn't say why she's calling (or even who it is she is trying to reach), only that she's "left numerous messages" The one we got on Friday was the first one ever.

They left a message saying they've made several attemps. This was the first I'd heard. No name of the company only to call Sandy at ext 111. I called & they answered with no name. I asked where I was calling and they said OCS. When I asked what it was they said multi companies and transfered me to a guy who asked my name and #. When I asked where he was calling from I only got OCS when I asked what it was once again he hung up on me. Something is odd here.
