Bill collection

I'm a totally disabled veteran who hasn't had medical care outside of the VA in 45 years. So good luck on whatever their trying to collect. I don't answer call from numbers that won't give an id. Just curious about who these annoying fools are. What I do have is a States Attorney General who collects $2500 a call from annoying numbers. Try your Attorney General. I'm notifying mine.

They are calling me over a $50.00 charge they say that I owe for. This is the same hospital that I spent a week in and during that stay I was bitten many times due to a fire ant infestation AND was given the wrong medication for 3 1/2 days until a educated RN caught the mistake and corrected it. They could have friggin killed me! And they want money from me? I am still considering a lawsuit. They can take that bill for $50.00 and put it where the sun don't shine! Whether I owe it or not! I have received a call from this number every other day for two weeks now.  I do not answer calls I do not know nor has anyone left a message.  After reading the previous messages, I can say this wrong.  I do not know this hospital nor have I  had anything medical done with anyone associated with this hospital.  I am not calling the number back.  If they can not leave me a message, I won't waste my time.   The person who wrote the "pay your bill comment" - you are wrong!  This has nothing to do with paying bills.  They are desperate to collect on older accounts (by definition any account past the six month timely filling insurance companies require) and have sold them to a third party.  As I just recently got this number when moving to Kansas, I know this has nothing to do with me but collection agencies don't care.  It is time to change the phone number.

Three calls in last three days - does not leave msg - can someone keep them from calling me?

If you pay your bills a collector wouldn't be calling you.  They are a legitimate company engaged by Medical service providers (doctors, hopsitals, etc.)

I answered when they call it was automated. I dont answer and call back, it is automated. what is going on here I don't understand. The have a generic name of medical services. I'm 21... I let my parents handle my medical bills. I always give my home number for any medical records and they are calling my cell phone. I don't understand.

I have been receiving calls from this 800 number for over a week.  So I *67'd them, and all I got was an automated system, asking for account number etc.In filing away my paid bills a little later, I discovered this same number on a bill I had received and paid.  Apparently, it's a medical billing service in Chattanooga, TN that is connected with apparently any hospital or medical service that has the word "Adventist" before it's name.I had tests done back in June, and this is the first bill I ever received.  It was due yesterday, but these automated calls started coming in early last week, before the bill was ever due.So beware - if you have any dealings with an organization with the word "Adventist" before it, you will also be hounded by them, no matter how SMALL the amount.

Just an update that since I called the Shawnee Mission Medical Billing department and informed them of the underhanded practices of the collection agency they are using, I have had no more calls - and I never gave out my phone number to anyone.So I'd say, don't call the number back, rather call the agency or company they claim to represent and inform them that someone claiming to represent them is harassing you.

I do not know who this is, and am tired of getting calls.

This is a automated collection call from a third party.This party will get a piece of whatever you agree to pay. I say please only pay the party you owe when you pay...help put these people out of business. They will not get a cent unless you agree to pay through them.

They never left a message until one day last week.In my case the caller stated verbally that she was a representative of the Shawnee Mission Medical Center.Now my insurance is not affiliated with this place, nor do we even live near them.The name they left on my machine wasn't even mine.I will not be calling them back.I did, however call SMMS and spoke to someone in their billing department. They did inform me that they do indeed use this agency.She became annoyed when I said that there were websites listing complaints against this company, claiming that their bank accounts had been hacked into and their credit cards maxed out with charges.She somewhat rudely informed me that apparently my number was inadvertently typed in by mistake and unless I gave it to HER to remove from the system, the calls would continue.yeah right, like I'm giving out my non published number to anyone, and anyway, there's no way this medical center employee has access to the collection agency database.No, I'll just keep letting the machine pick up, and then pressing disconnect if it's from them.

I received a call earlier today from this place too.I recently had tests done, but not with them, in fact, my insurance has nothing to do with any of them, so I didn't answer, just let the machine pick up.While she said who she was and gave me a reference number, she didn't say what exactly her call was in reference to.Caller ID said name unknown, even though she verbally said she was from SMMC.I looked up the actual Shawnee Mission Medical Center and all their phone listings have area code 913, not any 800's anywhere on their site.I plan to call them after awhile and ask if they know someone is calling random people under their representation and gaining the personal information of the unsuspecting.

I have been receiving calls from the medical services for around the previous three days now. I had some things done at Shawnee Mission medical back in May and they are now billing me for it. They had my information correct, and I was asked to pay a bill of $43.94. So I'm watching my bank account now for the time being. I was told that I'll receive a paid receipt next Wednesday, as it takes a few business days for everything to be processed.

I just received a call from this number yesterday.  They left a message regarding Shawnee Mission Medical Center also.  Just paid a bill I just received for the first time for services from 10 months ago.  Just received the insurance statement with this billing info also.  Who knows why it took so long to get this billing.  Maybe it has something to do with that.  The person left an extension (#1407) so I at least could leave a message for them to call me back.  Haven't heard back yet.

I get message from "medical services" and Debbie asks me to call back with a reference #. I call back and speak with some lady that wants me to give her all my information. I tell her my name and reference #, but then she wants my date of birth and address. I tell her no. She can't go any further due to the HIPPA or HIPPA laws. I tell her that since your company called me apparently you need something from me so just mail whatever it is. She yelled stating she would "note the account". What a bunch of idiots!

SMMC is trying to bill me but they never sent me a bill and they have the correct address. Maybe if the damn hospital would do their own work they wouldn't have to charge me extra for the "Medical Service" company.

For me, it was Shawnee Mission Medical Center. They were trying to bill me, but had my address wrong.Sadly, I corrected it.

I keep getting call from this number telling me I need to call them at this number.  They say they have some personal business to discuss.  But never say what.

I am getting messasges with a creepy recorded voice with my name that they have an important personal business matter to discuss and that's it. I won't call back if I don't know what it is.

they keep calling, if you tell them the person they are looking for is dead they will leave you alone for a few months.  I know it sounds bad but it works.

They keep calling and its a stupid machine talking, it doesnt tell me who its from or anything. And when i call back they put me on hold for at least 5 minutes.

I just got a call from "Medical Services" claiming to be a collection agency. I don't know if they are legitimate or not.
