They called my grandparents who live in another state & have no financial ties to me in any way other than being my grandparents. They've called them multiple times in last 2 weeks & asked for my info & claimed I was interested in their financial services. Last time I checked these tactics are illegal. If this a federal government student loan collection agency then government is using debt collectors practicing illegal & unethical tactics. I'm taking cease & desist actions and will see what happens. This isn't legal or tolerable. That's it for me! Good luck all!

Collection Agency for Student Loans, not spam!

This is not spam this is a legit company that is contracted out by the Us dept of education. If you are not the person that they are looking for or have the old number of the person they are looking for just answer the phone or call them back and say you are not the right person. If you don't tell them, they are just going to treat you like you ARE the right person. If you tell them to stop calling a certain number, they HAVE to, if you still get calls immediately ask for a supervisor or manager. They can be FINED for not taking you out of system. If you are the person who took out the loan, then it's your own fault. Even before a student loan account goes into collection the dept of education makes several attempts to contact you. They have deferments for people who make minimum wage, are disabled, or dealing with some other financial hardship. Those programs are available to you long before it gets to PFS. You took out this money for your education. When you take a student loan you sign a promisary note saying you agree to pay it back. The only ways these loans will go away is if you pay them off, you are 100% medically disabled, meaning a doctor has to sign off that you will never work again for the rest of your life, or death.

I did not receive a text. The caller left a long message on my cell phone with pauses giving a different 800 number and extension asking for a return call. The message however is very hard to understand. The caller sounds very far away with a bad connection and the speech was garbled. I listened to it for about a dozen times before I could pick up " #####..Financial Services" or something like that. The number he gave sounds like 1-800-510-3173 with an ext/ Just couldn't hear the extension number properly, and I'm not even sure the last 4 digits of the number are correct. Sounds like the caller was concerned that the wrong person might listen to the message and call to get personal info. He went on to warn about being arrested. I was a bit scared before I read the previous comments and learned that it was about Student loan, since it was very difficult at first to grasp what the caller was talking about.

They are going to get me fired.  Anyways After 2 weeks of candice's phone assault I decided to call her back.... She started demanding that i pay 400 dollars a month on some old AZZ student loan. I WORK MINIMUM WAGE... I have no car, and no savings.... I live pay check to pay check... I told her this but she is a well trained DOG.... she just keeps at it...  I found some information on some website made by a former collector and he talks about everything... Alll the nAsty tactics these collection agencies employ..... READ ABOUT YOUR OPTIONS... it turned out my payments were as low as 100 dollars a month.... THIS IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY.... I got this phone number 2-3 years ago, But it seems whoever had the Phone Number before owned money, Now I keep getting Called from that 1 800 number, its abuse and a form of stocking. I don't owe them or anyone money, although they owe me for wasting my minutes, I don't take lightly...

No message left. I do not answer calls from people I do not know. Cell on DNC list.

Someone called wanting to speak to Susan Foley and knew their address and place of employment and said in a tone of voice that sounded like they were threatening the person that they would call her there and wanted to be told personal information.

They keep calling about a debt that i dont have and said he was jaime from progressive financial and when i called back it said press star and it would text me back.

Calls and no answer

these people continue to call my work for a bill that was forgiven 6 years ago.

CALLS MY PREPAID CELL PHONE AT LAST TWICE A DAY. MOSTLY ON THE WEEKEND AND EVENINGS. I never answer the call anymore since the first time I found it was someone selling something.
