This number is said to be the number for the CA State Controller's office in Sacramento. When I input the number in Beenverified it comes up as a deceased Woman. I believe that I have received this letter in regards to a cashier's check that is being held by Citi Bank is a scam. It does not give the name of the business to whom the cashiers check was written, but gives the Citi Bank phone number to check your account balance. Citi Bank did not recognize this letter.
