Yep - I just got a cal at 11:13 pm... just like Jay above "an automated voice introduces itself as "Jennifer", calling from "local internet search" to "confirm information" and then prompts the listener to "please state the name of your company"." - same thing here.... unreal.... of course i did not answer - the automated robot left a message - asking also to repeat the name of the company - said "thank you" then hung up.

this number has called multiple times during the past few months to our business numbers; never anyone there, always hangs up ... until today. Finally on one call an automated voice introduces itself as "Jennifer", calling from "local internet search" to "confirm information" and then prompts the listener to "please state the name of your company". SO some organization is using a robot to call and glean information from whoever answers the phone using some kind of voice recognition technology. Dubious at best; very sketchy business.
