Was called by a fellow via this number today. He did not sound like a telemarketer or anything within the norm. He called saying that he was in a new wing of the County Medical Center. He said it was a new facility and he could not find his doctor. He said repeatedly that he was very hungry and for someone to come quickly and bring him something to eat. He claimed that the drugs he was being given were causing him to lose his memory. Strange call to say the least, not like anything I've ever received before. Definitely not a Telemarketer.

Public Interest Communications. Go to web site, look at client list and you will see an organization that you have contributed to. Contact that org and complain. They will listen to their clients, not us. Also go to donotcall.gov and file a complaint. I called theri call center in VA, got a live person who said they would take me off their list.

When I answer, they ask for a particular person - who I say is not there, then they ask 'is this ### Road?' - so they clearly have some information. They called me tonight and I answered within 2 or 3 rings, and they hung up on me. I did *67 and called them back. Answered with a recording, claiming they represent charitable orgs. In this day and age with rampant identity theft I wouldn't trust them. You can't be too safe. My feeling is they are just trying to get your CC numbers. I hate these hang up calls. If I ever found out a charity I had given to was using them, I would no longer donate to them.

Phone rings, I answer, get message that a service representative from PIC was unable to reach me, yet I had no missed calls. They leave number to call back (801-484-1107). From other sites I've learned this is "Public Interest Communications", a call center used by many charities. I've blocked the number on my phone for now, but wish they would be honest enough to respond when I answer their call. I've had several calls so far, same every time.
