Keep in mind that these folks are doing their jobs to conduct business. Although you may not see the value or correlation to your business, it is other companies such as Mazuma that help others grow and expand their business. It is a great service, and should be recognized as such.I understand you have a tough job being the gate keeper, but keep in mind businesses are designed to work with others to succeed

This company offers a great service for all companies purchasing new/used equipment from 100K-10MM. They have a sales team like any other company and it is thier job to find companies in need of their services. I understand sometimes as the gate keeper you are irritated and annoyed, but keep in mind many other companies allow your company to carry on business through their services.Mazuma Capital is a great company. This company calls at least once a week, asking to speak with one of our VP's by name. I have spoken with the VP about this caller, and he has mentioned several times that he doesn't want to talk with them and that we don't have a need for their business. The last time I got a call from them, the caller asked to speak with the CFO and asked for his name. I don't give out names to telemarketers, and I have caller ID, so I put him on hold for a while while I double-checked with the VP to make sure this was the same company. I received confirmation of this, got back on the line with the caller and informed him that the CFO was unavailable and that I could take a message. He then said that it was an important business matter and that the CFO would want to speak with him. I repeated that he was unavailable and that I could take a message. He became increasingly pushy, asking if I could let him know that he had a call on hold. I told him he was in a meeting and did not want to be interrupted. He asked me to pass him a note letting him know that he was on the phone. I refused, again offering to take a message. When he continued to insist that he would be expecting his call, I informed him that I had spoken with our VP and that we do not do business with his company. He said that he wasn't aware that he had given me the name of his company. I told him I have caller ID. He said, "Oh, I see. Is there anyone else there I can speak with?" I told him there was not, but that if the matter was as urgent as he stated that someone would be sure to call him back if he would give me a message. He finally hung up.
