Pretty much the exact experience as everyone else has had. He called and said I'd filled out an online survey and indicated I was interested in a job, when I said I hadn't he seemed surprised and then acted as if he couldn't hear me, I hung up. Total scam of some sort.

Today I had the exact same experience as Heather's comment indicates. The idiot called my cell phone. After I told him I never filled out an on-line survey for a job he actually asked if I would be interested anyway. I told him I knew he was a scam from the start and hung up on him.

An old Fraternal Order of Police scam. They say that they want to tell you to "remember to buckle up" and then try to send you something and pay for it. They also throw in "from [telemarketer name]" because they have to. As soon as you hear that part, you know it's a scam. Give to your LOCAL police, fire, and EMS.

Call, leave no message. My time is more valuable than to answer a phone to a useless caller. If you cannot speak or leave a message, you are a jerk!

Rang my mobile phone several times in a row; but hung up when I answered the third call. Tried to ring the number back, and was hung up on.

They call and ask if you remeber taking a survey in which you indicated you were interested in job opportunities. You won't remember, because you didn't.. They called me on my work phone which I have never given out on any kid of survey, I only give out my office number. If I had filled out a survey for them, they wouldn't have had to ask if I was over 18 and had a high school diploma or GED. I'm a seasoned professional with a Master's degree! They are looking for people who want to go back to school - don't know what the catch is since I didn't get that far when I told him I wasn't interested in more education.

An thick accented indie called to tell me my computer is having problems. He called to help me fix the error messages that I am getting and his support for Microsoft. Asked me what kind of computer I have, and if I was wireless? I told him Intel and no wireless. He then asked me get in front of my computer and he was going to help me resolve my problems. I asked him about what problems is he talking about? He tells me he is getting malicious data from my computer and he is going to help me fix it. I told him I had no problems and hung up. They tried getting me (3) times before I answered the phone. I found this thread and read it before I answered the phone today, expecting the story some of you have gotten. I got some a totally different attempt at trying to scam. Almost sounds like the Prankster bunch.
