Wow...listen to this story and how "I" got pulled into this scam!! It's incredibly ridiculous- this Jean Shook!!! She won't STOP!!!So my husband and I had called Time Warner to have new equipment installed a few weeks ago. The guy who came to install started "small talk" with me right away- and immediately asked me what I did for a living. I told him I was fortunate enough to be a stay home mom. He then tells me that his wife works for a financial company and is always looking for motivated, hard-working employees. He said if I wanted to earn some extra cash to give his wife a call. I said okay (not thinking too much about it)....and he left me his wife's name and number, then told me he would tell her to expect my call. I was polite and told him thanks for the info and said I would give her a call, but wasn't really interested. He never mentioned the company she works for, so out of curiousity, I googled the name he gave me. Up pops a page about Primerica with her name and # on it. WOW!!! I read so many HORROR stories about this company being a total scam- I couldn't BELIEVE IT!!! These people also said this was some kind of pyramid scam.? I'm not sure how all that works. I've never been involved with anything like that and didn't know that companies could legally get away with it.So get this- she somehow (I know how) gets ahold of MY number and has been calling and emailing me NON STOP since that day!!!! I haven't spoken to her once and she will NOT STOP!!! She also mentioned me having a daughter- said she spoke to her on the phone last week!!!?????? She said "HOW CUTE!!!"- in her email. WOW. Is this LEGAL?? I'm sure the company her husband works for wouldn't be too happy with him soliciting their customers to join a scam with his WIFE!!!!! BEWARE of PRIMERICA!!!!

I too received a call from Jean on my work phone (not accceptable). I did not call back but I'm glad I looked up her number before calling!

Same issue with everyone else. Seems like this gal is getting our contact information somehow. This Jean gal states that she talked to me a few months back (not true) and continued to try to convince me. Even mentioned that I have a 4-5 year old girl (not true). Came from the same phone number. I'm very happy that I googled and found this site, otherwise I'd be wasting my time with a "20 minute coffee talk" with her. Thank you everyone for the heads up!!

She called on Sunday eve; my work phone which rolls to my cell...and I thought; what the heck? Who's calling me at work on a Sunday Evening? So, luckily I did some digging online! :)Thanks everyone for the warnings...sounds like a scam! Wonder where she got the number? I recently did some looking into online colleges; any one else? Thanks!

I too received a voicemail on my work phone at 716 AM (not cool) from a lady that identified herself as Jean *something else* Shook (Caller ID = Jeanie Shook). She informed me via voicemail that my name and number came across her desk as someone who potentially qualifies to work with her company and also stated that if I was open to other job opportunities....I should return her call. After reading the previous comments about it being Primerica......I am confident I am not interested. I have no clue as to how they received my contact information, but generally speaking...I'm pretty sure it's an unwritten law that it is NEVER a good idea to call someone else's work number to present new job opportunities...especially without permission!

(816) 309-7121
I called her and she called back. She is with Primerica and if you know anything abuot them then you know its a pyrimid type deal. Known people who have gotten into it and as with any of these things you have to be on the top to make any money.Just a heads up for people who are getting these calls. It put me in an unconfortable position at work since I just started this job and they think I am looking for something, not even close.Really irritating the tatics these people go to for this sort of thing.
