They asked me to kindly keep their new number. They did this without saying who they were. Like how would I know them if it’s a new number? Complete phishing scam.

Scammer caught. Once the person trying to scam realized that I was messing with them, they cut off communication. They are using a text program that does not attach names to the number being used. This particular one s****s the conversation with "long time no see," goes by the name of Tina, and asks if you remember her.
