I was called in Canada from this number. No one would answer when I spoke, so thinking it might be a relative or friend in the USA, I returned the call. Besides a pre and post message in Spanish only, the offenders recorded message said "hello, this is d***hit" then more spanish and a disconnect. I backtraced this call, to Teleport Communcation, a public company, which was (at one time) owned by AT&T. 12 calls to different AT&T numbers provided online in several states, would ring, then disconnect (a great image for a Telecommunication/Phone Company), but finally, one person answered, and I asked the same info. The underpaid REP knew nothing, so asked to be referred to the LEGAL Department, where I would have to register as a Law Enforcement Official to file a complaint or speak to someone. After another hour, I got a voice, and was told my info was outdated, this phone was now under the company Nextel (SPRINT) and then to BOOST MOBILE, who provide a number to report violations of their service agreement, but the number is incorrect, it is only for new and exisiting accounts and has nothing but recorded messages with Spanish/English options and a hundred BUTTONS to push. Finally, I chose NEW ACCOUNT and got a REP, and asked to speak to their supervisor, who refused to give me his supervisor's name ,claimed there was no such number provided on the BOOST website (even though I walked him right to it, and asked him to call it), and he said they had no LEGAL department, and he was the TOP manager, so I could talk to NO ONE, and had to send an email to customer service (which I did, as well as SPRINT, and the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU in their area for unscrupulous business practices and lack of transparency in this pubic company with shareholders. They could not be reached by phone, and no response to my email (YET). I wasted a whole day without satisfaction. BOOST MOBILE (according to this mystery TOP MANAGER) could not be reached by phone for such a complaint, and the offender continutes to harrass and deceive international customes with impunity provided by a non-transparent cell phone carrier, BOOST MOBILE. I filed complaints with the Public Utilities Control who have no punitive or regulatory power against them, anymore than the BBB. There are enough people here, anyone interested in a Class Action Suit against BOOST MOBILE, SPRINT and parent companies? I researched how to do this, but require many people to form a class action suit. These THROW away cell phone carriers need to be accountable for failure to respond to abuse or illegal activity complaints, and are therefore coconspirators in providing an avenue for illegal activities breaching international borders. I am on the National DO NOT CALL REGISTRY list, and still get harrassing and scamming calls from Cell Phone users of BOOST and T-Mobile (at least I could reach T-Mobile for a previous Credit Card Services fraudster using their throw-away phones). They have the right (and should) protect the identity of their customers, but failure to investigate, take complaints or act on them when they are informed, makes them as guilty as these fraudsters that sometimes bilk thousands of dollars from less savvy and tenacious international and national victims.

Just got this call. Shows up CALIFORNIA on the ID. Lots of background noise and distorted sounds, then a recording played saying it was "Jason" and I won a trip to Cancun and Orlando.

Got a message that was a hang-up, called back this number and the only identification given was the actual phone number, no company name. Suspicious.
