The caller claimed an overdue Easy Pay balance from ten years ago, despite the recipient never using Easy Pay. They falsely stated that a Wells Fargo bank account was given as collateral, although the recipient never had a Wells Fargo account. They threatened a felony charge over an amount exceeding $966. When asked for basic contact information, including their name and address, they responded aggressively and told the recipient to check their caller ID, adding 'we don't accept payments via mail, good luck with the cops.' The business they claimed to represent is no longer in operation.

Do believe this to be a scammer. Claiming I have an over due Easy Pay from 10 years ago (never used easy pay), and never gave collateral which is a Wells Fargo bank account (never had that bank). After threatening me with a felony (over $966) I s****ed asking basic contact information. What’s your name, how do you spell it, what’s your phone number (yelled at me saying “check my caller ID) and when I asked for his address I got the response “we don’t accept payments via mail, good look with the cops.” My dude, I was just asking contact info. Also the business you said you were with…. Is closed!
