Today, I had about 15-20 missed calls in a 30-45 minute period, all from a restricted number. When I checked my voice mail, one message was from a man with a heavy Indian accent saying that I needed to contact him immediately. I deleted the message without finishing it because I could barely understand what he was saying. I also had several messages of the same man just ****ing up on the voice mail, but he continued calling and calling. Finally, I answered the phone and asked what the man wanted and why he was compulsively calling my phone number. He stated that his name is "Frank Miller" (which there is NO way that is his name--he could barely even speak English), that he is with the Department of Crime Prevention, and that "Jennifer Howard" is involved in a "serious legal mess" and needs to contact him immediately. W***ver this is also called my boyfriend's phone today, leaving him a message saying that he is involved in a "serious legal mess" and needs to contact the Department of Crime Prevention. (My boyfriend is on my phone plan, under my name, so we aren't sure if they were trying to get him or me.)Anyway, I got online and researched the contact number the man left, and there were many accounts of people having the same experience. It appears to be a scam. I have never even come close to doing anything criminally wrong (I'm applying to law school in the fall!), so I know this has to be incorrect. The contact phone number is: 862-377-6666The man said his name is: Frank MillerHe said he is with: The Department of Crime Prevention

Call came in today (Second Day in a Row) demanding one of our employees to call back. Refused to leave a message but insisted I pass on message to him. Said name was Tom Brown. Very rude and Indian. Beware!!
