Attacks computer w/voice saying that my computer has been attacked & I need to call Microsoft to resolve the problem. Unable to get rid of the attack for a while, shutting down computer, esc, delete, had to keep hitting keys.

Tried to hack my mother's computer. They claimed to be Microsoft. She fell for it and called them. They even called her back and threatened to delete all of her files.

Print and voice tells me to stop, my computer is being hacked and to call 866-249-2993. Can't clear this message from the screen. After reading online from another device, did control-alt-delete. Opened task manager and ended the windows session. After that, it's back to normal. Hope this helps someone else.

Pop up on your computer or spam email will tell you big story about network intrusion, blah, blah, blah. They will ask for passwords, which my relative gave them, and then credit card for $199 charge to clean computer. Thankfully at this point I got my relative to take computer in to best buy for real service.
