I received a recorded message asking me to call Citibank at 866-756-4365. I called Citibank credit card customer service and they transferred me to the fraud department. The fraud department said that the call was valid, and that they just wanted to verify that I had recently authorized some large transactions. BTW, the original credit card customer service person didn't have any record of the 866-756-4365 phone number and said that it might be bogus.

Received an automated message claiming to be from Citicards and asking me to call. I thought it sounded suspicious, so I called the Customer Service number at Citibank to inquire. They said the number is not theirs and told me they would forward the information to their fraud department. They said I absolutely should not call the number from the voicemail.
