In Texas, license plates DO NOT stay with the vehicle. Seller keeps them. S****e off the registration sticker on the windshield. Form for buyers is on https://vision21.txdot.gov/Vehicle/VehicleLookupForPermit.aspx.Vehicle Transit PermitIf you buy a car or light truck, print a Transit Permit to drive the vehicle home or to your local county tax office. * Only one Transit Permit may be issued * Valid for 5 days (****mum) * Only issued for cars and light trucks (1 ton or less ) * Get License Plates at your local county tax office when you ***le and register your vehicle * Enter your vehicle identification number (VIN) carefully. Called by 866-934-7381 on June 29th, 2010It is a Collection Agency named NCO. They collect delinquent tolls on behalf of Texas Tollway Authority. The Texas Toll Authority provides information on their website about NCO, "their" collection agency at https://www.gotxtag.com/violation/It is regarding delinquent tolls for a vehicle that I had leased, and returned. The toll violations occurred a few months after I returned the leased vehicle.I provided this information and do***ent to NCO.I was contacted in call campaigns by NCO collection phone representatives over the past couple years. They read that the vehicle toll violations had been researched. It was noted in their system that after some research the vehicle had been found to have transferred ownership when I had returned it.They wanted me to pay some of the tolls for the time period between when I returned the leased vehicle and when they had record of the vehicle c****ing ownership. In the State of Texas a license plate stays with the vehicle when it is sold or transferred. The ***le is transferred to the owner but the owner receives the vehicle with the plates that were on it. the Owner receives a new Registration Sticker to place in their lower left corner of their vehicle which matches the Vehicle license plate.I was shocked. I had not driven this vehicle on the Texas Tollway system. they had sent pictures of the vehicle being observed by camera as passing through a toll collection point. dated after when I had returned the vehicle to the dealer I leased it from. They wanted do***entation on the return date from the dealer.I indicated that the dealer ceased to exist, that they had been closed as a result of the Car Dealer closures in 2009. that they no longer existed, that they were not purchased by another dealer and that I had no way of obtaining what they requested.I asked them to provide some proof of the debt. They still continue to call.

Also received a call claiming to be a collection agency. It is NCO Financial Systems. Not a good company. If you have debt ( which I don't ) deal directly with your creditors.

This is a scam. I got a call from these people on a secure phone in another state. They said it was $25.00 for a toll in Texas. In Texas, the state sends you a bill for highway tolls. Problem is, that particular car and license are in Texas and use the tollways but my 'secure' phone number is in D.C.. so I couldn't figure how they got my phone number. Why didn't they call teh phone in Texas? The only way they could have gotten this number is off of an emergency medical bill. OSI tried once to collect on this bill even though the state agency said not to pay the collection company. When I pointed out to them that I was in Washington, D.C. on a secure line, cross state lines and I asked them other questions, they put me on hold for a long time and passed me onto someone new over and over.I called the Texas Toll agency and they said they do not use collection agencies and the real bill for last month is $1.75. I called the state agency handling my emergency room medical bill and they said payments on the bill are up to date. This OSI, or w***ver, is scamming. They took old medical records and claimed false bills. DON'T give them any information. Be patient. Don't panick (like I just did wasting two hours of my time). The original debt people will send you a real bill in the mail and you can call them.Thank you for this web site!!!!!
