Was a spam call saying from apple what a scam call

The call that was automated said that my iCloud had been compromised and to call Apple Advisor. I was given a number to call Apple Advisor, but I deleted the message from my phone before coming to this site so I've forgotten the number. I've received more calls from this (I'll assume scammer) number before maybe a month or so ago from the same number.

They said my iCloud account was insecure and that I would need to go to apple website and enter the employees number in the support box to authenticate the employee.

This is the old “hi, I’m from apple and your account has been breached.”

Called twice, 39 minutes apart. Both calls were same voice, and told me my Apple account has been compromised. I hung up without saying a word.

Was told to contact my apple adviser at a different toll free number 718- 30 and it when dead 718 area code in for New York City except for Manhattan! The toll free number to apple is (877) 204-3930 but I was told by and Apple employee that they CAN NOT CALL OUT on (877) 204-3930
