They said they were from the IRS and to have my social security number available and to give them the case number that they gave us. They said it was an urgent phone call and the office would be open from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. I called the number back and the automatic answering machine said this is the IRS to please hold and a service representative would be right with me.
