I have worked at call center for nearly 5 years on various programs, i understand when people are trying to do their jobs and get food on the table however Collection agency reps have no right to harass and get irate with people WHO DO PAY all of their bills and get a stupid a** phone call from Partners In Credit. I understand if reps become that way for those who avoid and neglect their responsibilities but for god's sake LAY OFF OF US WHO DO TAKE CARE OF OUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUIT TRYING TO STEAL OUR HARD-EARNED MONEY FOR YOUR OWN BENEFIT!!!! Besides if you guys werent scammers wouldnt you have to get the names right that your calling for in the first place, instead of calling those by their "soon-to-be-married" names!! For someone who has NEVER placed ANYTHING in their "soon-to-be-married" name is getting a phone call by this collection agency all of a sudden and not being address by their legal name -- now if any kind of bill was sent to collections YOU GUYS would be calling and asking for the REAL LEGAL NAME - so you cant convince me that this isnt a fraudelant company and shouldnt be under investigation and SHUT DOWN PERMANENTLY. THERE HAS BEEN NO NOTICE MAILED TO ME REGARDING ANY BILLS BEING SENT TO COLLECTIONS. YOUR COMPANY IS NOTHING BUT FRAUDULENT SCAMMERS!!!!!!!

It always amuses me the kind of people who take jobs at these places they seem angry and have a power complex. I have received calls from them for some one wiht the same name, explained slowly to them that it not me because I have not had a credit card, bill or anything in Canada for at least 7 years think they will listen - noThought I would check into the law since it seems they cant be bothered and this agency violated EVERY rule listed on this material from the ontario government.I am going to record the next call so that this fellow John Demuurs (?) can sit in the dock in a criminal court and explain to the judge how he didn't do it and that the person on the tape is just someone at the same company wiht the same name. For the benefit of all those including the PIC employees who post here.. The regulations for the province of ontario. John Demurrs trying reading these and comply if you can't then I am sure at least one of your collegues can explain them to you so that you dont continue to break the law.The Ontario Ministry of Government Services consulted the collection industry to develop a standard to be followed by all collectors. Having a standard also allows the public to have a better understanding of what collection agencies can and can't do. The regulations forbid collection agencies from: • contacting you until six days have passed from sending you written notice of the following:• the name of the creditor• the balance owing• the name of the agency and its authority to demand payment• continuing to contact you if you did not receive the notice unless a second copy of the written notice is sent to an address provided by you, and then contact may only be made six days after sending notice;• contacting you if you send a registered letter to the agency saying that you dispute the debt and suggest the matter be taken to court;• contacting you if you or your lawyer notify the agency by registered mail to communicate only with your lawyer, and you provide the lawyer's name, address and telephone number;• contacting you on Sunday, except between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., and on a holiday;• contacting you other than by ordinary mail more than three times in a seven-day period without your consent, once the agency has actually spoken with you;• using threatening, profane, intimidating or coercive language, or using undue, excessive or unreasonable pressure;• continuing to contact you if you have told them that you are not the person they are looking for unless they take reasonable precautions to ensure you are that person;• giving false or misleading information to any person;• recommending to a creditor that a legal action be commenced against you without first sending you notice;• contacting your employer except on one occasion to obtain your employment information, unless your employer has guaranteed the debt, the call is in respect of a court order or wage assignment or if you have provided written authorization to contact your employer;• contacting your spouse, a member of your family or household, or a relative, neighbour or acquaintance except to obtain your address and telephone number unless the person contacted has guaranteed the debt or you have given permission for the person to be contacted

No lawyer will direct you to contact a collection agency to pay a bill. They will commence an action, if they have been retained by the collection agency. I have asked the law society of uppper canada to commence an immediate invetigation into both parties.
