I completely understand and I'm currently trying to cancel as well i think im going to report my card stolen and get a new one...
(888) 854-4706
I got the same call. I told them that i wanted to cancel it. they tried to tell me that they would not cancel it. I let them know that when i was called that i was told that i could cancel when ever i wanted. They still tried to give me the run around. they finally agreed that they would cancel the complete subscription and I'm not going to allow them access to my account. So i called my card company and told them the situation and they canceled my card and i will be receiving a new one in a few days. If The company tries to tell you that you cannot cancel. it's complete crap tell them that you were told that you would be able to cancel anytime, and you want to cancel. Then call your bank or card dealer and tell them the situation and ask them to send you a new card so that you account will no longer be able to be accessed. the key phrase that they make the mistake of repeating it "That they are financially obligated to pay the subscribers" that is exactly true they are responsible NOT you and you can cancel what ever the hell you want. Then report them to the BBB and a fraud company. If you have to file a police report.

I want to cancel the payment made through my credit mastercard for a sale of magazine which I have never received and I do not want.
(888) 854-4706
So they called me twice. the first time i didn't pick up because i didn't hear my phone. the second time i wanted to see who it was. When i answered the girl said that i would be able to get 4 magazines a month for free unless i got the glamour magzine. But i could switch it if i wanted then i wouldn't have to pay. i was okay with that. I was then switched over to the supervisor who said i would have to pay 4.99 a week for 19 months but it would be condensed down to 1 payment a month for 19 months. All in all i would pay a total of 68.28 but not all at once. I was leery but i still gave my info and what not. I decided to check my bank account to see if they had taken money out and they had taken the FULL amount out of my bank account. I didn't have the money at the time so i was super ****ed. I would have been able to handle a payment once a month but not all at once. I figured that they would still charge me once a month on top of what they already charged me so i went to my bank and stopped the payment. I then called the company (i got the number from the bank) and they said to call back tomorrow. i will call back tomorrow because this is ridiculous. I am not gonna stand for this. I hope i can cancel.

"Patrick", you need to learn how to do some proper calculations... There are 52 weeks in a year.52 weeks x 5 years = 260 weeks260 weeks x $4.99 weekly cost = $1,297.40$1,297.40 / 19 = $68.28 (the actual amount they would have charged you)Some fine advice from Mr. T, which you really should take:"Stay in school. Don't do drugs."

I also fell for it. I don't know what happened to me. He gave me his customer number: 2076 because I was a little worried at the beggining. I was trying to cancel it during the call and he got mad at me. I just canceled my card. He was recording my name, my adress, and my answers. He also asked my my social security number but I didn't give it to him. He got me confused and I have been calling that number to cancel the order but no one answers. I hope that everything clears up soon.

I'm 18 yes old, and I sleep late. Got this call In my cell from an unknown #. I thought it might be my sister cause she has a tracfone and that's what it registers as 4 some reason or another. I have no earthly idea why I stayed On the line with this guy. He said his name was dwight and he said I'd been seleceted for a survey regarding my visa card. It starts out him asking if I would like to be entered Into a drawing to win $10,000 or a trip for 4 to austrailia or any # of other prizes. And I'm half asleep and who doesn't want to go to austailia. Then he he asks if I would pike to recieve 5 magazines a week for 4.99, that's a dollar a magazine. Seemed like a pretty good idea at the time. He also mantioned a diamond watch and a whole list of other crap. I tuned him out for half of it. Then dwight tells me he is new and that he needs me to clear everything thru his manager. So I get put on hold for a sec then Eugene comes in to seal the deal. To "finish things up cause I obviously have other things to do" so after all this the 4.99 a week has gone to $69.28 because I may b getting the magazines for 60 months, but they want here money in 19. That may have been all well and good, but after the fact, and after they had hung up on me with all my information in hand, I do the math and it comes out to $1247.68, from that I multiply $4.99 by 4 and that comes out to $19.96. Multiply that by 60 and t comes out to $1147.60. Besides the fact that they are charging me over a thousand dollars for magazines, they also threw in $100 just to pull the wool over my eyes a bit. This is the last time I do anything with money were there is no fine print to read. Now I just have to hope I can get my money back. I just need suggestions on how to go about that. The only less I have is the number charged on my account. Someone please help this stupid teenager.

i can't believe my wife fell for this scam! they told her that for 4.99 she would get a subcription for rock and roll magazine and get a free diamond watch. she gave them my debit card info and her ss#. i checked my account and saw that they charged 69 dollars. i called my bank and cancelled my card and have to wait till it post in order to dispute it. i was so furious at my wife. she should've known better. WATCH FOR THESE CALLS PEOPLE!!! never give your info over the phone if you do not them!
(888) 854-4706
You can call your bank and report the card stolen....it works faster because they stop the transaction right then. The bad part is you have to wait a whole week to get your new card but its worth it. Hopefully you didnt give your SS#....
(888) 854-4706
Man I can't believe I fell for the scam either, it really makes you feel low anyways the best thing to do depending on your bank is to call and cancel the subscription. Wachovia will ask you to call the magazine company back and try to cancel it first but in order for them to dispute it it has to post to your account first.

I got called by them as well, after talking to them i told them that i could not afford the whole magazine deal. They said they had accidentally forwarded the information they had along with my card number into the machine and that they would try to cancel the transaction. The guy put me on hold and then left me there for about an hour. I immediately called my bank and reported the card as stolen. The stupid magazine company charged me a dollar but luckily was not able to charge me the 69$ i am now going to call them on monday and get my freakin dollar back. If they do not cooperate then i have their address and the guys name as well as his employee number (which is all probably fake, but its worth a shot) and ill simply press charges against them for theft. Than hopefully they wont bother people like you and me anymore.
(888) 854-4706
I also fell for the trap, but since i don't read much and the cost if like 69$ for first 19 months and the magzines will continue for 60 months. But the overall cost is much and can't afford to spend so much money which i don't use, i tried cancelling them today itself, but they told me to call tommorow. So let's see, other wise i will open up a dispute. Also they called from a unknown (hidden number) , i got the number by calling credit card company since they put a transaction of 69$ on my account
(888) 854-4706
i got a call from them today. i agreed to pay for magazines for 19 months and now that im trying to cancel it an answering machine is coming up
(888) 854-4706
The best thing I can recommend, is to call your bank and let them know you informed this company that you wanted to cancel the charge before it even got there, and they charged your card anyways, and your bank will put it in as an unauthorized transaction and block the company from billing you anymore. The recorded voice will not hold up in court because they splice the messages together, and there is no law that says that you cannot cancel a service, and you have no financial obligation to continue a service, they cannot make a contract with you that says that you cannot cancel.
(888) 854-4706
They called me too and offered me a low price on magazines then jacked it up afterwards. But I got them to lower the price of the magazines by spreading it out the payments for a long period of time. I have been happy with the service I have got. I just hate the fact when you move you have to call them up and it takes about 3 months to get your magazines to come to your house regularly again. And the only reason why I went with them is that I got offered a chance to win $10,000, but I didnt win.
(888) 854-4706
Thay also got me too and i havent got any magazines. How do you get them to stop stealing money from you?
(888) 854-4706
I also recieved the same call reguarding magazines, they told me it was going to be like 4 dollars a month and then after giveing them all my information the price then went up to 69. dollars. At that point i canceled the subscription and then called the customer service center and made sure it was canceled. On the first of the month they still debited my account.

I received a call from this number awhile back. I believe it is a scam. And I fell for it. I was sick with a cold and I don't know what I was thinking. They were trying to sell me magazines. I tried to cancel the magazine subscription, but couldn't. They told me I agreed to pay for 16 months worth of magazines.
