This is Strange i got a call from Jones Broomfield and Associates.. so they say and when i did research on the email address it is the exact same address as Thomas Lee and Associates.. Does anyone know if they are related and both fraud or Thomas Lee knew they were getting busted and changed fraud name to Jones Broomfield and Associates

I was recently contacted by these people telling me that I owed a check cashing place for $355.00 from 2002. The bank no longer exist. They told me if I did not pay it within 2 hours that there would be a warrant for my arrest and that they would prosecute me. She told me that I would serve 25 years or more. I borrowed the money to pay them even money gram the money because she told me that they would mail me my returned check and a statement that I satisfied a debt. I still have not received it yet. So basically I just lost $355.00 that i can't afford to loose. I am highly ****ed after reading thes other comments. I will be contacting the Federal Trade Commission, Attorney General in Florida, and the BBB. Everyo­ne should complaint so these people can be stopped. I am telling everyone about them.

I received a call from Joseph Alexander, he first represented himself from the county I live in and being part of the investigation team.  He stated he had a signed warrant for a felony arrest and that I would be placed in jail for a minumum of 30 days without bond.  He then stated that if I was to pay the 291 before 4pm the next day he could stop the warrant.  When I asked for the name of the judge that signed the warrant he couldn't tell me, he then recanted his statement and said the warrant would be signed on the next day.  I do owe the debt, but he did not represent himself as a debt collector.  Due to my ties with the court system in my county and the fact that my attorney is also one of my best friends I had no problem calling them back and filing the complaints against them.  The gentleman I spoke with said that Joseph was a 1099 employee and would be let go immediately.  However he did agree to settle for half the debt, which I will pay.  I do not agree with their tactics and there will be further legal action against them from my end.  I have delt with many debt collectors and this is the first time I have been threatened by anyone.  This company needs to be shut down and I encourage everyone that receives a call from them to tape the call and pursue legal action as well as filing the appropriate complaints.

Arlene called me and saying the exact same thing that I was found on tape and that charges had already been filed. Well she first contacted my ex and told him the same thing, well it scared me so I paid it through paypal, then my common sense kicked in and I found this I have filed complaints with the FTC and Attorney General in Florida. I also filed fraud with Paypal ( i dont know if it will go anywhere but I wanted them to know) I am furious. With them and myself for falling for this. I will keep pushing. I printed out the Fair Debt and Collections Act and highlighted everything that they violated and faxed it to them.

I got a call from arleane today saying the exact same thing I was on survellance and that she knew I didn't steal the money from a payday loan place she called my ex husband telling him that they had me on surveillance too which we aren't on the best of terms so he was wondering if he needed to come take our daughter away from me I paid it because I was scared with what she was sayin about being charged with a felony and what not. So I didn't want to lose my job or nothing. I am ****ed now because that money was for my rent. They have no idea the financial burdeon they put on me of course my mind wasn't thinking at that moment till my nerves called down and realized so****ing wasn't right.

Someone named Jeff Davis called the people who live next door to me. Jeff Davis called my neighbor by his first name and ask if he could get a message to me. My friends called and told me that and I was outraged and called them back and said I will report them to the Better Business Bureao. They called from 904-638-3250 and 866-787-0790

They called me and told me that I have to pay them $250.00 or I was going to jail today for something that my x did. She told me what I was driving where I lived now, the name of all family members (plus names of my kids) and what I looked liked. I gave her the money because she said if I didn't I was going to jail in one hour. Now what should I do

This woman called and said she was with the fraud unit and she had a state of georgia suit againist me and they were taken a warrant for my arrest , that an affadavit had already been filed. That I had two hours to get money together or the warrant would be issued. Me not knowing any better went thru all kind of cramp to get the money. come to find out nothing had been filed nor was I endanger of being arrested . I call my court house then called Relene and asked her where this was being filed , she explained to me that it was already done that I could wait an hour and see what happened and hung up on me. I called her back and asked well if it has been filed what court was it being filed because I wanted to take care of it. She would not give me an anwser she just told me wait and you will see.

a woman named Arelene called me on yesterday said she was with the fraud unit and the state of ga made a suit out againist ma that an affadaivt was already filed and that I had two hours to come up with 348.12 or I would be arrested. I freaked out I knew I had not done anything illegal. so i of cousre tried toget the money together but had no lucky because I am a fulltime student .so i called her back and she said my time was up anyway and that she had already filed the warrant . I got the same call from an Andrew Burke at a 904-418-5000 number, and he told me in no uncertain terms that he was a legal representative of a check cashing place, and that since I closed out the account that the check was written off of it was a class one felony, and that tomorrow at 9 am he was calling the local authorities to take care of the matter at either my home or work. Of course he didn't specify how it was to be taken care of, and when I pressed the issue he kept evading the question, even telling me that this was the first time i'd done this, i don't have any priors and that i'd better be getting money from friends or relatives, and that I couldn't go into the place of business where the transaction occured to take care of this. He first called my parents, who alerted me to this situation. If you were so smart, and you were going to alert the local authorities, then how come you didn't find out my number, or my current address????? I called back the next day (got a voice mail, big surprise)..and the voice mail wasn't even the same guy who called me, and informed him that what he did was illegal, and that if it happened again, i'd be informing the Florida District Attorney, my attorney here in Ohio and pressing criminal charges against him for violating the Fair Debtors Act. They are the total scum of the earth, and one day i'd love to be there to see what is coming to him.

They called me a month or so back, claiming they have a video tape of me recieving money from a payday lender.  She kinda chuckled and said that she knows i didn't steal the money, but if i don't pay 280.00 within the hour she was going to go downtown and put a warrant out for my arrest.  Well i called the DA's office, the State banking commission who governs the laws of check cashing companies, and even the Federal Trade Commission.  Not to mention my local law enforcement and courts.  What happened is the lender i wrote the check out to sold this account to these people, Thomas lee and associates.  Well they've been harrassing me and harrassing me about the payment, threatening to put me in jail each time.  They are not willing to work with you at all on payments, unless you make the whole thing by Paypal, or Money gram.  WTF...who ever heard of a collection agency demanding money up front like that.  They never called me back either.  I know the debt is owed and I don't mind paying the debt back.  Oh and on a lighter note,  the check cashing company i got the payday loan through sales Pirated DVD's.

my mom recieved a call today from that Sharon Lopez/Jackson. Told her that she owed money from an old bank account...and she had to have so much money to them today, by western union by 12:15 or a warrant would be issued for her arrest.  She called the Bank she was supposed to have owed the money to, in which there is a deliquent account, but they charged it off years ago. The bank googled her name and found all these responses. So they told her to file a report. If anyone has any more information about Thomas Lee and associates, please let me know, i am not finding anything on them. I live paycheck to paycheck too, so I know how you feel. Then you have these people calling and making things worse. Next time they call you just tell them to go ahead and have you arrested and see if they don't call you back over and over. Give them the "I don't care attitude." The evidence I have against them scares them to death because they know they are caught! THey know I have this evidence too! I know they are sweating it out, trust me! You do need to get a lawyer after I give this to you because they will owe you 1,000 dollars just for violating the Consumer Protection Act. Then they will have to pay fines for every violation they committed against the Consumer Protection Act. It will hurt them in their pocket in the end! I personally spoke with Paige from the Attorney Generals office this morning. They can Not put you in jail. Do not fall for the lies..I have spoken to everyone from the Attoreny Generals office down.. Hang up on this b***h. guess she didn't expect to see the ghetto when she called me.. they cannot do this. read the fair consumer collection act.
