Nuisance

Called my cell at 7:15 in the morning, left a message with my business name stating I needed to call their office back. The FTB would never call my cell phone without sending a letter first, especially before business hours, and the call back number is not listed as legit with the FTB website of valid numbers either. Scam.

I received a call today saying she’s calling from ftb saying I owe 2 years of taxes and penalty . I called my hubby about this call he said it is a scam.. My hubby said Ftb will never call or email . They will send a mail and few warnings then take your money from bank if you owed any taxes. I was scared an terrified I called my accountant and hubby immediately!!!

This caller claims to be from the CA Franchise Tax Board but the return number is not toll free, which means it's not the tax board. CA Frachise Tax Board - person sounded desperate and wanted to contact me on urgent matters. The callers are spammers and trying to phish information. They want your personal information. CA Franchise Tax Board only contacts you through mail since it is certified and post marked. Avoid this call.
