I'm based in UK. Purported to have access to many Vrbo French holiday lets at reduced prices. Somehow hijacked my emai to or from genuine lettings agency. Fortunately I smelled a rat and have taken it no further.

Text (from a completely different number) purported "an unusual Login" on my Amazon account, giving this number to call directly.

Tried to sell me a VRBO vacation rental for a price that is to good to be true.

I inquired about rental home down the keys and this guy came along but when he sent me the property with the VRBO link, the date I selected was booked. As I was trying to probe more questions on his legitimacy he then stopped corresponding. Phone# is also currently disconnected****4754583.

Was totally tipped off when he said he needed the VRBO deposit wired to Ireland. Was going to give me a discounted rate because of a recent cancellation. Emailed me outside of the VRBO system after doing a lot of emails to property managers.

Same story as above. Cold mailed me after I made a lot of enquiries to other online booking agencies for long term accommodation in France. He found an amazing place, great price but wanted full payment upfront. He sent a contract with details of the house owner a "Doctor" living in Dublin but checked out to be a post office!.We were saved by the fact he became sloppy and desperate for money.

Red flags went off when I asked him for his business information and he did not reply with it, but rather saying he will send me a contract when he gets into his office. I knew it was "too good to be true!" DO Not let this guy scam you.

Exact experience - reached out offering a VRBO/Air BNB that was already booked via email from [email protected]. He claimed that the reason it was unavailable on VRBO was because there was a cancellation in process of being refunded and that he was the property manager. He said he would follow up with a contract explaining everything. The number he gave me was****-475-4583.

Same story...used name Damian Janssen with me. And I was lucky my property of interest just had a cancellation & offered me a very low fee!!! Said he worked with 365 & VRBO.

He then asked me all my trip details a***n because “he manages a lot of properties and will get me the best deal.” How do they get your email if they aren’t actually on VRBO.

Exactly what has been described in other entries here. I am so humiliated to say "I fell for it back in June" and now my entire family is without a vacation home for Christmas and we are out $2800 of my mother's inheritance. Sick to my stomach. Is there anything that can be done?

asked to send him money (personally, not through vrbo)for already booked by someone house saying that it was canceled last minute that is why they are giving us it not for 11000 but for 5000

Same situation as many of the above complaints. He emailed me and offered properties at a discounted rate from VRBO. Luckily I researched him before I finalized anything.

Damian said he had a Florida Keys VRBO rental available that showed as fully booked on VRBO. Said he was in New York, and that we needed to pay a service in Ireland to book it. Reached out to VRBO owner and they don't know this guy and the rental is definitely not available. It's 100% a scam.

I responded to several ads for via a text in form for a vacation rentals on the site and he was my only response. Never sent me photos etc. he just gave me his full name. Hasn’t called me yet.

Same as above offered a vacation rental and said to pay via Wise money transfer app to Dublin Ireland to the owners of the rental rather than pay on VRBO to avoid the more expensive price and fees.

He asked for my name, home address, and phone number so he can write up a vacation rental contract. I googled his name and found this to be a fraud. The phone number he gave was:****-675-4887.

When I asked about my dates being not available on the website he said there was a last minute cancellation and that he couldn’t update the website until the refund had processed. This happened to me in the UK

When I looked at a vacation rental online a Damian Miller (tel**** 2678544) emailed saying he had a similar property, last minute cancellation- same as the other comments. Wanted money sent by WISH transfer to Dublin Ireland. This is a FRAUD. I have contacted the FBI but please post any additional info.

Damian Miller contacted me using the email address: [email protected] offering me a villa on VRBO at a discounted price. He wanted money transferred to Ireland. The rental contract he sent me looks quite legit but there were a few giveaways it was a scam. Avoid this evil scammer!

A Damian Miller emailed me about a vacation property in Vrbo, the link directs me to a booked property. When question, he said it was a last minute cancellation and wants to offer it to me a half the cost, asked for personal information and said he will call once in the office. This is a spammer.

Approached us by email after I'd submitted info request to a property management company in Oahu. Tried to sell us a VRBO condo rental, asking for payment in full, to be sent to Ireland. Same game he was playing with person who reported him on July 5. With us, he used the email address [email protected].

Mark Miller just "cussed me out" in an email... he is not who he says he is. He kept pushing for my personal information (name, address, money, etc) for a Destin condo rental that was already booked. I contacted the VRBO host for this particular condo and they did not know this clown.

Same as the other comments... the guy sent me a text saying that he could get me a great deal on a condo in Destin, FL. He said the previous person cancelled and that the website could not be updated because the refund needed to process first. I contacted the VRBO host... they do not know this Mark Miller. SCAMMER!

Received an email from him saying the property was available in FL but on VRBO it was all booked. Contacted property management that was listed on VRBO and they said that they don't know who he is. Was very fishy when in the contract he wanted the payment to be sent to Ireland because the owner moved there....... such a SCAM please be careful.

I just received an email from Mark Miller Unique Trips and am resear****g if this is a scam. I have been scammed once already and am doing my due diligence to make sure. This person sent me a VRBO link stating that the home is available but on the site it says it is booked and when asked he said that the people cancelled and he is waiting for a refund to process before he can update the site. I smell so****ing fishy....

Person says he is Mark Miller and works for vacation rentals by owner. SCAM.

This person is a scammer who sells vacation rentals that do not exist. Beware!
