Don't answer unknown calls. Downloaded and installed free version of avast antivirus on my smartphone, which allows me to block these calls. they call once, I enter their number in the block list, and am never bothered by them again.

It's a New York area code, so I didn't answer. It's after regular business hours on the east coast, I live on the west coast, so I knew it had to be a SPAM call. They hung up as soon as the call went to voice mail. And the call was to my cell number, so much for being on the Do Not Call List.

Didn't pick up and no message was left at this phone in a federal government office out in Nevada. Seems like spammers have no filters whatsoever in who they decide to call...which hopefully will get them caught sooner rather than later.
