I got the same call and was infuriarted with the level of aggressiveness by the telemarketer. I got off the phone and called Discover customer service and spoke with an Account Manager threatening to close my account if the calls continue. She told me that Discover outsources some of these services and they get a lot of complaints. She promised me that I would be taken off the call list. Don't trust one of these knuckleheads at the telemarketing company to remove your info, call Discover directly and demand that they do it.

I also got this call, which did not appear with the area code on my caller id (implying it was a local 919 call). It was Discover Card trying to sell us services. Despite telling them repeated times we are not interested, they continue to call at least once per day, usually around dinnertime.

They are fake. They have mined info on you to make it sound real. If a collection agency is real they will send you stuff in writing. Tell the pieces of crap to not call again and give them NO info!
