INFO I FOUND OUT FROM TELEMARKETING AGENT!! SPAMMERS CAN CALL YOU AND MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THEY ARE IN YOUR AREA CODE! This is how: I saw this number show up quite a bit on my IPhone, which tells me the number and city it is coming from. I usually NEVER answer these I let them go to voicemail. This time, I decided to call right back after no voice mail because I saw the call came from Markesan , WI. And I have seen that city and number come up quite a bit. WHEN I called I spoke to a woman from Life Alert. I told her I already used one and I then asked her WHY she never leaves a msg when a call is not answered?! She hmm’ed and hawed a bit and said they were not allowed to. I then asked her where she gets her call List from (since I c****ed my phone number about 3 months ago to STOP these calls), and she said I was on a list of “Seniors”, the over 60 years old seniors, I said I just turned 58 in August that didn’t work! More hmm ? and haws and THEN I ASKED: How do you people get your phone numbers? I was wondering because of how often I have seen THEIR NUMBER show up! And was her call center in Wisconsin like my phone said? She then replied that she was calling FROM North Carolina! I asked her HOW that could be WHEN the area code was the SAME AS MINE! (920)*******X! She said she didn’t know how that showed up that way BUT she was calling from North Carolina?!?! I didn’t know they could CALL from a different state AND use my area code!! But now that I DO KNOW, I won’t answer any calls that have no name, ALL will go to voicemail!
