A caller from this number called me on and told me he was calling from a computer tech maintenance & repair company whose service I am subscribed to. He stated that the company's server had failed and because my previous tech support session on had not corrected my computer's condition, they were going to return the payment for my subscription. He then directed me to a website to download and run software which enabled him to access my computer. He was able to view and control my financial (software) program while I looked through the credit card register to locate the payment transaction – which I then closed and I deleted the desktop icon for access to the program, since it was no business of his to be moving around in my financial records register. He then told me that the company would return my payment directly to my “bank account” (but it’s not my bank account, it’s a VISA provider). He opened my internet browser and attempted to search my card account company using Google.Com, so I asked why he was doing that, since I could easily log-in to my own account using their website. He said he was just trying to access my account to return my payment money, so I told him: “YOU are NOT going to access MY online account”. Your financial institution which processed my payment can return the money to my VISA account through their own records of the original transaction. I realized it was a scam, I closed the browser, I closed the remote session into my computer and I hung up the telephone call. This caller knew both of my telephone numbers, he knew the tech company manager’s name and the technician’s name and their e-mail addresses. Of course I am reporting this to tech company, to the credit card account and possibly to the FTC, although the only information I actually have about the person is this telephone number that my telephone display displayed. Another reverse telephone search displayed the warning: “This is a spoofed number! Unknown ‘trick’ to your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number to avoid complaints.” So - this number is BAD news. Report any contact to your appropriate authorities.

This number needs to be shutdown. They call all times of night and morning. My mobile phone has caller id and the name that comes up is Stephanie Henigin, which probably a fake name. This needs to stop.
