I just got back from a Memorial Service

No one on the line then an automated female voice said "Goodbye"

Called me about 15 times

I called my state attorney general's office to complain about the same type of calls described here. They told me to call the FTC - Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-382-4357 which I did. I actually got to speak with a human being who took my complaint (you have to provide your name, address, phone and email) and directed me to their web site to read about these scams. Visit www.ftc.gov and enter "microsoft scam" in the search box. The more people who contact the FTC the more that will be done (we hope!)

Called me on my home number. I couldn't understand him at first due to the Indian accent. Said he was calling from Microsoft, told me someone was hacking my computer as we speak. Told me to go to Validator.com which takes you to W3p.validator.org. This site wants you to put in your email address. Looking down the page, I see an "HP" logo. Lucky for me, I worked for the FTC in identity theft and know right away IT IS A SCAM!!! I told the caller I know it's a scam, Microsoft or any company would not be calling you unless you put in a specific request for them to call you. He told me my computer would not work in 1/2 hour. I laughed, and hung up. I contact HP who couldn't care that a scammer was using their logo. I called FTC, gave them info., they register the complaint. The area code is southern Texas, pretty close to Mexican border. If you did give them your email, I strongly suggest deleting all cookies and history as well as changing your password to your email. Don't know what else to say. Be careful out there!

got call from Microsoft staff ???? 5-6 time telling my computer are virus infected and got hacked he then rushing to to get on computer and log in, so he can help and direct me what to do next. I said i don't have computer how do i access ??? he hung up. :) scam with sound like Indian accent.

Three calls in the last hour. First time, a person was there saying that they were from the windows problem resulting center. Last two were computerized hang ups.

I have gotten call after call, if i answer and wait a computer voice says goodbye. i have been getting calls for several days now. the name on the caller ID is Julio Reyes

spam...called everyday from all these #s: 872-777-3244, 207-598-4867, 979-230-9479
